Oxford 2022-2023 BCL/MSCs/MJUR/MPHIL/MLF Applicants

Adjeibs

I am a BCL waiting for a response and I must say this community is the most nerve-wracking and calming place I've been in a while1f602
Although I didn't apply to Cambridge, I've gone to their forum a few times and all I can say is...
No where cool. We'll be fine

Hi all! Has anyone else not yet received their certificate of offer after receiving the email yesterday?

I got nothing today. BCL applicant here. Is everyone who received the informal email for the BCL yesterday in the same boat?

Did a lil research for bcl

last year, buttons of few applicants disappeared, and those few received offers, just  like the applicants who received their offers this year, up till now.

Two or three days after that, there was mass disappearance of the buttons and in that case these applicant came to be rejected. So thats the case with the vast number of applicants, us, who yesterday reported the disappearance.

Yeah, agree with this observation. Any idea when we might receive the rejection?

The tricky thing for this year is it seems that they just sent offers yesterday for BCL/MJur/MPhil/DPhil, and just one day. At the same time, many people with buttons disappeared and also many people with buttons were still there. The more tricky thing is some who received offers, especially MPhil/DPhil (nearly all of them), got offers with the button still there.

One thing I think is not changed is that rejections would be sent automatically, probably around 2 am. So, if no one was rejected tonight and this weekend, some maybe got offers next week. Otherwise, I guess all of them who haven't received response may all be rejected in the following days. So sad.

An additional thing: in previous years, it seems that offers and waitlists came first and then rejections. But now, we haven't heard of any waitlist for BCL/Mjur/MPHIL/DPhil, right? Probably, Monday someone may get offers or waitlists if no one was rejected from today to Monday.

I hate to say it, but I think that for those who have not received a BCL or an MJur offer by now, it is over. Most logical conclusion I can draw from all what I can read in previous year's thread, this year's thread and what people in my surroundings are telling me, is that Oxford is currently sending out the official offers to those who have received a prior announcement. If that job is finished, the rejections will be send.

For me it is time to move on with my life. This is my last post in this forum. I wish you all the best!

Thank you @Mjur5! And any MPhil/DPhil offer holders have received the official offers today?

Nothing for DPhil yet! Last year, my BCL letter came on Monday (announcement of offer on Friday) so hopefully early next week.

Now it's UK time 2:00 am. If anyone received an automatic rejection, it means that the program will not release new offers. So, does anyone receive the rejection?

Hate to be that person, but I think its time for rejections now. Keeping in mind the trends from the previous years, the rejections usually come in during Sat/Sun 2 AM (UK time).  So, brace yourselves folks. Better things await those who did not get in, to those who got in, best of luck!!
