What do you mean didn't work out? Are we taking the button theory really seriously? :(

I think we should not be overthinking. We should stay calm.

Does an offer or rejection come through on the portal or email first? Is there some delay in receiving the email?

The button disappearance supposedly only means that a decision had been made, either a rejection or an offer. There are always people whose button doesn't disappear at all, don't worry

It only comes through email, nothing will change on the portal

Exactly, I would advise you not to refresh the grad portal all the time in order to remain sane (plus it's very annoying as I rememeber there have always been some login errors after refreshing the portal too many times). Everything re the button theory is pure speculation and while there is probably some truth in it, no one can conclusively tell you what the outcome will be by just looking at the buttons.
I think we should not be overthinking. We should stay calm.

Hey Miki! Do you know about any case where someone whose magic button did not disappear actually received an offer? Thank you so much in advance.
Posted Mar 17, 2022 12:09
Yeah, me.
I wasn't tracking this button thing at all, but I remember when I logged back into the portal to accept one offer (and reject another) the button was still there for both.

Hey guys,
where is the so-called ‘magic button’?
On the bottom of the supporting document tab, I only see three things: return to self-service, contact, view applicant self service guideline..

BCL applicant here. Thanks to everyone contributing to the forum.
Made an account to say that my button has disappeared.

Ok upload button has disappeared too. Seems like they keep disappearing. Mjur. Someone should tell them to fix that shitty bug to save people’s minds.

MJur applicant here: button disappeared 5 minutes ago. Any clues as to whether it’s a good or a bad sign?
Or is it just a bug? Anyways, good luck to us all!

Mjur here, button has just disappeared.
I guess buttons of many people, including me, have disappeared at the same time. I don't want to imply negativity but might be that we're all rejected :d
