My button disappeared a few days ago but I still haven’t heard anything (BCL candidate). Are any of you guys in the same situation?

Yep, exact same situation here. Don’t know if you saw the earlier post about this but apparently the rest of the offers will be sent out by tomorrow afternoon.

Best of luck :)

Hi everyone! Just received an offer for the BCL. My only academic condition is to send in my transcripts. However, I do have two non-academic conditions. The first merely requires that I fill out a criminal convictions declaration.  The second says I must

"Ensure that any information submitted with, or in relation to, [my] application (whether to the University or your college) is true, genuine, accurate and complete."

Has anyone else received a similar condition? How are we supposed to go about satisfying it? Does this mean we have to send in records of all of our internships, publications, etc? Thanks in advance and best of luck to everyone who is still waiting.

mine too!
honestly, I think we are going to be waitlisted.
I haven’t seen anyone who got accepted while the button was still available. On the other hand, those waitlisted still had the button.
from what I’ve been following, it can be concluded that:
button gone = accepted/rejected
button available = waitlisted

In my case, being waitlisted is almost a rejection, because that means I’m out of the funding competition, and without funding I won’t be able to attend

Someone emailed the faculty earlier and they confirmed that they will release more offers by afternoon today. I can say from the previous threads that if we are still in limbo by the end of the day (no emails/update), then that is a strong sign a rejection is incoming. Judging from last year's thread, most of the rejections came on a Saturday around 2 a.m. (draconian I know) and rejections kept flowing into the week.

I suspect all rejections will be sent today and further into the weekend/ next week.
On other forums, BCL/MJur and DPhil/MPhil have all been accepted. Given that there are more applications than available spaces, hearing later than acceptance means rejections likely. Disappointed. That’s all I can say.

And I’ve heard Oxford rejecting first class honours, dean listers, etc. Even with solid references. So I wouldn’t be that hopeful.

actually, no MJur applicant has heard anything yet, neither offers nor rejections
but we are making assumptions based on the button theory

Now is the dreaded 2am as well.
rejections might be sent using automated programming.
I would say those who have been waitlisted have also been told and we know that rejections follow after offers.

I've also met people with a low first (around 70%) and none of those extras getting accepted. Interns from top law firms sometimes get rejected and people with little to no work experience are also sometimes accepted.

I'm sure they are all excellent in their own way but Oxbridge decisions are just so unpredictable. You can never be sure what they really want and I do believe there is also a great element of luck involved. 1f641

Regardless, congratulations to all the offer-holders and good luck to the people who are still waiting!

Hi, has anyone been waitlisted for the BCL yet? Also, is there anyone whose upload button for the BCL is still there, but haven't heard back anything?
