Heard from KCL 3 weeks ago and from QM last saturday. UCL has told me they have problems with their online admissions system and have still not received my acknowledgement email.
Why would you say LSE will take longer to answer? My app was completed on Oct 29 and I will expect to hear from them before new year.

LSE website states that the admission offer packages (or something like that) are published in January. I guess there are no offers made prior to January then.

When I visited LSE in November somebody from the law faculty told me that an answer would take 2-3 weeks if you apply before christmas. However another person from the general graduate admissions office told me that no decisions are send out before January so I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer.

I have not received my "acknowledgment email" from UCL either (I applied 3 weeks ago) . I was about to get worried that they have not received all my documentation, so good to know that no email means only problems with their online admissions system (again!). Thanks for the info!

So we'll have to have patience. In the meantime, I want to ask a question I have been wondering about. My KCL offer states I must accept or reject it before dec 12. Altough KCL is propably my second choice (tied with UCL, behind LSE) I would not like to say no to their offer and then get rejected by the other two.
Also, I would like to try a little "bid" among the univs for financial aid. As I like a lot all univs I applied to, I would love to get some help from them. But this can only happen if I accept all offers I receive.
Has anyone accepted an offer and afterwards rejected it? Would there be any sort of problem?

I think you need to be more pragmatic.
I know it's not "fair" but if there is not deposit at stake, you should say that you accept and wait for your preferred uni's answer.

Hello Everyone!
I am new to this thread. I applied to LSE in early November and likewise playing the waiting game. Has anyone received news - offers or rejections - from LSE?
Cheers

Hey!
I applied to Queen mary, King's And UCL a month ago and didn't hear from them since.
two questions:
1. Did anyone even get an offer from these 3 unis?
2.To all you lucky ones who did get an offer, did you get it by email or a letter to your home address?
thanks

I'm also still waiting for a reply of those universities, but already have offers from Glasgow, Durham, Manchester and I'm affraid I could lose them while waiting. Does anybody know whether this is possible?

hello,
I am a student from india and i am planning to apply for the year 2011-12. I had a query about the reference letters, as to whom to address it? do i have to take different letters addressed to different universities and whether sending the same set of reference letters to all the universities is a good idea?
Actually, i don't think that these ref letters somebody checks... I enrolled for LLM in October 2010 to Uni of London - nobody checked my references that time and i know it for 100%... but i guess each uni is different.

I spoke to LSE graduate admissions today and it seems that they are endeavouring to release the first round of decisions by December 23rd - so there will be some news before Christmas!

Delane, tks a lot for this info.

That seems about right. LSE is usually behind the other London programs by a few weeks. Likely people have already heard from QMUL, King's and possibly UCL?
