I am monitoring 3 different forums and, as far as I know, you are the first one to have received an answer for the PhD in Law at LSE.

If I may ask, have you been interviewed? And have you noticed when your transcripts dropped?

No, was not interviewed. What do you mean by 'transcripts dropped'?

Its when in your transcript drops to the bottom of the page below your references at the documentation section of the My LSE page. It doesn’t happend for anyone but usually a good sign / theory that you’ll be made an offer. If you don’t mind me asking are you local or international  student? You’re also the first person I know of that recieved an offer

Did your transcripts drop at the bottom of the documents list shown on your application tracker? They are said to become the last documents in the list once LSE is ready to make you an offer. It's a theory that circulates around here.

Oh that's interesting. Honestly wasn't paying too much attention to my LFY page. Right now the bottom-most section is 'Other Documents Required', horizontal title 'Transcript', with the comment 'We require an original or certified copy of your transcript. This refers to your transcripts from...'.

Fees-wise I'm overseas but have been in England for my LLB, LLM, and current vocational course.

If it helps, my GAO offer came in on Wednesday.

No worries. If all goes well, comparative public law.

Hi, many congratulations! This is amazing!

Could you please let us know your background a bit - if you wish to share, of course? I am waiting to hear from LSE re the PhD in Law. My background is the following: LL.M. from LSE, 1 published article, 2 research assistant positions, 1 offer to be a teaching assistant and a very niched PhD proposal, with 2 LSE professors nominated as supervisors.

Many congratulations again!

Thank you! Generally nothing too outstanding about my profile, I think it is just a good fit. Good firsts for my LLB and LLM (both at top 5 English unis) but no prizes. Have done 2.5 dissertations on my area, all got firsts. The most recent of those, my LLM thesis, was both my writing sample and a small subset of the research project I proposed. Published an article and tons of blog posts, but that was on lower profile platforms based in my home jurisdiction.

The only notable part of my application were my references, who are a Emeritus Prof + full Prof well known in my general area of law and who I've had a good relationship with since the second year of my LLB.

Same here. It's just strange for a doctoral programme to release decisions on each candidate so distant in time from each other. I don't know what to expect.
