The requirements state that you dont need a TOEFL.

Quote: "If your first language is not English or if the language of instruction of your previous degree is not English, we ask you to provide evidence of your command of English."

Thank you for your response. The problem is that I'm not sure if school (primary and secondary) can be classified as "degrees"... My law degree and specialization was taught in Spanish... Anyone in the same situation has been given a waiver?

I have the same problem. However, I'm currently enrolled in a degree program that is completely taught in english. My original TOEFL score is 106 and too low ;)

I wish you all the best and I suggest you give them a call on monday. They should be very helpful as you satisfy all the academic requirements.

I'll do that sometimes calling is better! Let's hope they can understand I'll post their answer then..

They will understand that you need the info asap: I'm convinced you will get a positive answer. As I said, you fullfilled all the academic requirements.

Good luck!

I have a question about the expectatiosn for LLM students over the summer. The LSE website has the following for 'term dates', but we do not have formal instructions for the summer term, yes? I'm just wondering what our academic expectations are for that summer and until the end of September. Thanks!

It seems that LSE applications for the LLM have completely closed. I already have my fourth email (I got it last week), but on the website it says that having applied before the deadline doesn't necessarily mean you'll be considered if it closes! Does anyone know what the deal is with this? I think it would be really unfair if they don't consider everyone who completed their application before they closed it...

I received an offer 26 march, and it says it "closed" 25 march, so I don't think you're ruled out. Anyhow, I won't take up the spot, so it's not fully closed yet.

i applied in February. My 2nd referee submitted her reference before the LSE LLM program closed (25th) on the 21st. My application is now held pending further documentation because it takes a few days for the reference to be added to my application. You guys think that once my reference is attached to my application they'll reject me immediately coz it's closed? or maybe a waiting list? all i want is to be considered...even if i'm rejected at the end...i dont want to be rejected without consideration simply because my application became complete too late

That's exactly the same situation as mine! I'm pretty sure they'll inform you that they aren't going to consider it, rather than calling it a rejection... from what i've seen anyway.

They will consider your application according to my experience.Since my all documents were received at their end on 28 Feb but there was sone problem in withdrawing my application fees at their end which could reach their end only by 20 March and was updated on my Application tracker one day after the LLM programme was closed at their website.
So dont worry your application wil be considered.

I read on the webpage that when a program is marked as "closed" it is closed. However, applications are considered for the "reserve list".

I found the info in the FAQ of the admission department.

Hey everyone,

I applied to the LLM at LSE very late (March 8th) and I received the 4th email on March 19. At that point the LLM program had "Limited availability". I submitted all my documents, and I have slowly been getting emails saying that they have been processed. Both my referees uploaded the letters online. When I check my online application (the actual application, NOT the LSE for You), it says that both have been received. However, on my LSE for You, it says that it is still waiting for my second academic reference. Do you know why this is ?? I had all my documents in before the program "closed"...just that they haven't processed all of it yet.

Now, what I'm worried about is that on my LSE for You app tracker it says that they processed an "academic reference" and a "professional reference" (the last one being under "miscellaneous items" , but they still require ANOTHER academic reference under the reference title. Does anybody have the same problem?? Im confused as to why my application isn't complete yet....

no one knows...it might be considered and rejected or it might be considered and approved and because it's full you might be placed in a waiting list....

which University are you graduating from and what course are you doing? also, what's your grade overall?
