LSE Admissions

Thanks for the advice.

I decided to call anyways. They basically told me that the law department is one of the busiest and that all I could do was wait it out.

This is slowly making me crazy.

Tell me about it. I guess we'll just have to hang in there (and refresh that application tracker like an idiot).

Take care

:):) :) thats so true!

OMG... Just checked my status checker...

A decision has been made on this choice and is being processed. Processing involves checking by a senior member of staff, and occasionally verification of one or more details by your Department. Most decisions will be finalised and appear here within one or two working days (remember to allow for weekends!), however if we require clarification from the Department your status will remain unchanged for longer periods. No further information is available until all checks have been completed, and the decision will be posted here first.

My application went complete on the 22nd of December 2008. I wonder whether it's a good indication that they've made their decision this quickly... Gulp!

I envy you. As simple as that.
From previous posts it seems this is an indicator of acceptance

I would like to ask about accomodation. Any idea which is the best choice? I would like to live very close to the school...

anyone know what the story is with the acceptance deadline? it says respond in up to 6 weeks from receipt of offer but then it also states that the offer will not be withdrawn after the 6 weeks... so when exactly is the deadline? I'm waiting on Cambridge so I don't want to accept just quite yet!...

Ok, tomorrow I'm going into my 13th week of waiting. I haven't read of anyone having to wait for such a long time. Anyone else facing similar circumstances?

I still have a strange message on my LSE for you: "We have received a reference with an illegible signature on unheaded paper." But just above I have copy received and passed check, furthermore I sent twice my reference because of the signature and the second time I recived the confirmation of complete registration. Should I be worried? Anyone in the same situation?

I don't know, maybe. I think you should sent them a message. They're also quite busy now, so be fast!

Actually on hindsight, the conditional offer is a little steep in terms of the average they require. They need a 2.1 and a specific average. the thing is, even if I surpass it and get the first, my average might still not be enough to make the cut. :( now I'm stressed again...
