Hello everyone,
I am a LSE prospective who had its application deemed complete on the 28th of november.
It seems to me that many decisions are being made at the moment, specially rejections I think.
I would like to know if anyone who had its application completed by the same date as me has already been admitted?
Besides that, if I may ask, did you reach the absurd TOEFL standards of LSE? I fell 3 points short and it kinda concerns me...

If you receive a thick package contained in a manila envelope, you're in. The package contains the offer of admission, your LSE ID, registration procedure and some useful information on what to expect while living and studying in London. Good luck on your application.

thank you Opinio!
So you have already been accepted, right? Would you mind telling me when your application was deemed complete?
Thank you once again!

I'm an LSE alumnus. It's a great school. Lots of brilliant classmates (funny too!). My belief is the Admissions Committee sends out the letters to those who have not been offered admission to give them an opportunity to explore other options. The offers of admission usually come later, approximately two months from the time you completed your application. The longer, the better.
Keep cool, chill and the best of luck on your application.

That sounds good!
Mine was completed on the 28th of november. 8 weeks from that is the 23 of january, but I guess the holidays might postpone it for a couple more weeks.

Just be patient. The Admissions Committee is efficient and will inform you once they have made a decision. Not hearing from them for a long time is a good sign, believe me!

Do all of you who have sent the applications to LSE have met the language criteria?

LSE operates on a rolling admissions process, so it's best to get your applications in while the LLM programme is still open. I would think that LSE is strict with respect to the IELTS and TOEFL as they expect all their students to have a good command of the English language. Good luck.

I think they are quite strict with the english test results but i dont know for sure. My overall score on ielts as 7.5 and got 7 and 8 in the rest. But i did the exam twice because the first time I got 7 and 6.5 in writting i think.

They do conditional offers. One condition can be the presentation of the english requirements.
No one admitted yet?

The manila envelope contains the unconditional offer and other relevant information for LSE postgraduate students. This was the procedure a few years back. Perhaps changes were made due to the increase in the number of students admitted to the School.

CJH,
When did you receive the application complete?
I am asking just to see if I should expect a decision soon. I had mine complete on the 28th of november.
Best of luck with the grades.

Good luck. May you receive your unconditional offer of admission upon fulfillment of the conditions set forth in the original letter. As mentioned in a previous post, the offer of admission is contingent upon either successfully being awarded a degree (in the undergraduate level) or obtaining sufficient marks in the final examinations for the award of a degree.

Hi Pucca,
We are in the same boat. My application was deemed complete on November 4, and still no answer. We should be patient. They will give their first decisions within a few weeks. What about UCL? Did you get your answer?
Good luck
