KCL LLM 2009 application process

Legal_Indi...

I am little lost with the tracking process....!!
the last email that i received from KCL stated as follows:

"Thank you for your e-mail and interest in King's College London School of Law Your documents were received on the 5th March 2009. Please visit the following web-site for information on acknowledgment of applications and supporting documents. http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/law/gradstudy/llm/faqs/f2a Yours sincerely, LLM Admissions Team "

And when I had started with my online application i was given a password and username through the email on 1st March.

But now when i try accessing the online tracking system link on: http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/law/gradstudy/llm/faqs/f2d I reach the FAQ page....:(!

Can someonne tell me how can i track my application. Is it that i will receive a seperate Email for the tracking of my applications ?

You will receive an email with tracking details which should look something like the following:

"I am pleased to inform you of an admissions service available to all Master of Laws (LLM) applicants.

You will now be able to track the progress of your application on-line. To gain access to the on-line tracking facility, all you will need is your application number.

Your application number is [your application number]

To check your application status, please go to:

http://www.kcl.ac.uk/depsta/law/applications/students/grad/tracking/

Enter your application number and click on 'Request'.

Your application will be at one of the five stages of the admissions process, and the on-line tracking facility will tell you the stage your application has reached. The information shown by this facility is the most up-to date available and will be amended as soon as your application reaches the next processing stage."

Then you'll get an email whenever your status changes.

Colorado - don't worry too much yet, the process will take ages. I applied in January and it took me six weeks to get an offer. Try and be patient, I know it's hard though.

Thank you very much for your time and interest. You are quite right, I have to be patiend, however I have been rejected in Edimburgh and Queen Mary so I think there is no way to get accepted in KCLbut let s see, I have heard people who we not accepted in QM, and they got a place at LSE, true? A legend? I do not know, I will wait..

Congrats Inconcreto! out of curiousty, how long did it take for your application to jump from the 1st to the 3rd/4th stage? My application is still on the 1st stage and the status has not changed since the 21st Feb.... I'm slightly anxious, I don't have any nails left to bite!

My application was deemed complete-1st stage-on the 9th March( i submitted my online app on the 25th of jan) and went to the 3rd stage almost one week later, on the 17th.
I suppose u ll be hearing from them soon.
In any case i think delay is a good sign..
Best wishes!

Hi!
I just received a conditional offer from KCL. Veeeeery excited! However, I'm curious, do I need to let them know that I accept it, or should I just contact them as soon as I meet the criteria they set for me?
Thanks

Barbora, if you ARE going to KCL, you should send them whatever they requested as conditions. They will then send you an unconditional offer along with an acceptance form. That is how they know you have accepted.

Hope this helps,

Hi all,

I was sent an email by King's enclosing my application number to allow me to track my application at http://www.kcl.ac.uk/depsta/law/applications/students/grad/tracking/

however, every time I try to enter my number, I get this error message:

Your application ID:
Notice: Undefined variable: student in /web/docs/kcl/depsta/law/applications/students/grad/tracking/gradtrack_get.php on line 175
was not found!

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks for help!

After a long wait (sent application on Dec 30th, had to submit originals on Jan 19th, deemed complete on Feb 18Th) I finally received and unconditional offer, since KCL was my first choice I sent the acceptance immediately, but the odd part was that I was rejected by QMUL which I was under the impression that was a little easier to get into than KCL, so what they say it's true... it really has a lot to do with luck!

Hi everyone!

Sadly I have to admit that I am a little bit confused also about the application process. When I submitted my application online - having uploaded the supporting documents online also - I received an email on February 4th that stated:

"Dear applicant

This alert email is to notify you of a new message or decision about your application to the LLM (Master of Laws) (Full-time) at Kings College London which can be accessed on your application portal https://myApplication.kcl.ac.uk.

You may need to respond to this message before a deadline expires so we recommend that you access your portal pages as soon as possible.

Yours,

Kings College London"

When I open the page they refer me to, all I get is the completed application page but I can not take any further actions... Could anyone help me explaining what should I do next?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, well it speaks for itself.

One can submit questions and they will call u at the designated times in order to orally answer them..

I got a conditional offer as well ... one of the conditions is that I have to give the TOEFL or IELTS test as English is not my native language.

Although I explained that English has been the medium of instruction throughout my education they sent me an email saying that it was my responsibility to satisfy the offer conditions.

Is anyone else in the same situation and is it at all possible to get a waiver?

I am a bit of a late runner.... I submitted my application on March 22 and sent my reference letters by post on the same day. The dhl tracking indicates they were already delivered. Nevertheless, I haven't received from KCL anything except from the "thank you for submitting your application" e-mail.

Did any of you call them to check whether your application was complete? I read on their web site they do not give information regarding the status of our applications by phone. But I am a bit worried whether they have received all my documents...

Any advice?

tnx
