Hi,
I submitted my application via King's new myApplication website on October 10. Still have not heard anything back yet, although, to be fair, I'm still within the "2 weeks for acknowledging receipt" term.
I thought we can use this post to follow everyone's progress in the application process.
Regards,
Patricio

No, I stil haven't heard anything becaue I just sent mine on October 24 by DHL and since I sent these documents from overseas they told me they should arrive tomorrow afternoon.
I'll let you know as soon as they write back to me.
I think some people just like us decided to send their applications pretty early to have more change of getting in so I guess thet are quite busy right now...let's just wait! :o)

Update: Last Friday I spoke with the people at King's LLM admissions, because the 2 week period had elapsed and I was afraid my application was deemed incomplete. Fortunately, they told me that they just started reviewing applications that same week and asked me to wait a couple of more weeks to receive (if such is the case) the confirmation e-mail.

Barzy and Interalia> Its nice to meet you. I wish both of you luck on the application process.
Lusienka> I understand that the deadline is by the end of March. You should take a look at the Graduate Prospectus and the Frequently Asked Questions, I recall that the deadline appears there.

Update #3:
Today I received an e-mail indicating that the status of my application was updated, along with another e-mail containing a conditional offer for KCL!
The status tracker jumped from Stage 1 to Stage 3.
Now I only need to send some original documents... Kings was my first choice for a LLM in Competition.
I hope everyone gets a response soon!

Hi all, I received on october 31st with my online-tracking password.
My application is currently in Stage 1 (out of 5).
Patricia I also read there are 5 stages but what do they mean exactly?? I know stage 1 means that my application is complete and the supporting documents were received.

Patricio, what do you mean you need to send original documents? I sent my original transcripts. I sent a copy of my ielts certificate because I only have one original copy of it and I was afraid it might get lost.
Thank your reply!! AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I m very happy for you :)

You could always show them your ielts certificate when you reach london i think. As long as its before the late August deadline.

Barzy,
Thanks!
About the original documents... Since I applied online, they requested the original document of which I submitted a scanned copy. That's it.
I hope you get a response soon!

About the "Stages", I understand that they are described here:
http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/law/gradstudy/llm/apply/process.html
And I assume that Stage 5 is reached when you accept the offer.

Sadly I didnt get accepted. They said competition is fierce and difficult decisions had to be made. Well I guess it wasnt for me. I applied to 4 others unis (LSE, UCL, Edinburgh and Queen Mary) so lets see what happens. I'll be happy if I get accepted in any of them.
Good luck patomz :o)

hey...i received an unconditional offer from KCL on 3rd Nov. it was pretty quick, considering i sent in my application around 20 days before!! however, for all those who havent heard from them yet...dont worry..i called them up a few days ago regarding my acceptance letter and they said they're terribly short staffed and will take some time to respond. has anyone else been accepted by KCL? best of luck to everyone who's still waiting...keep your chin up!!! cheers!

have u sent in your acceptance ? they give u 3 weeks and acceptances have to be sent by post. any ideas on what happens if the status has not been updated within the 3 weeks even if u have sent in the acceptance and u do not know if it has reached safely ?

Congratulations San-24 !
I also received an offer from KCL, continioned to send my original documents, since I applied online and I am an overseas student. I sent the originals last week and I am waiting for a response from them, which should include my unconditional offer letter. So far, the status traker is still at Stage 3.
Hopefully, I'll receive a response soon.
San_24, where are you from? I'm from Mexico.

Hi all!
I also received a conditional offer from KCL yesterday :)
I was wondering if they are strict about the 3 weeks deadline for acceptance. I mean ideally I would prefer Cambridge or LSE neither of which I've heard from as yet.
Though could someone also tell me what exactly does acceptance entail, in the sense of financial or any other obligation?
By the way, I'm rather amazed at the speed at which my application was processed. I had sent it just about 5 days before I got the offer. In fact, strangely, only one of my referees had even sent in their reference till yesterday. My second academic referee told me that she will not be able to send in my reference till next week. So basically my application was processed without a second reference!

as regards the 3 week deadline, I had a chat with the KCL overseas representative, and he specifically said that the offer would not lapse, though it would be preferable to accept within the 3 week deadline. Acceptance does not entail any financial obligations of any kind..you simply have to sign the acceptance form which is sent as an attachment with the offer letter and send it back to them. scanned copies are not acceptable...it has to be a hard copy. KCL has been pretty quick about sending offers..i received mine within 2 weeks of applying!
