I just sent them mu acceptance form on Feb 18. How long will it take to switch from stage 4 to 5???
Posted Feb 20, 2009 07:47
I believe it'll take one-two weeks... than you have to decide the modules for LLM... I like M&A,Competition law, Tax and Antitrust... what r ur area of interest?

to anyone who is at stage 5 and is targeting finance /banking courses: can you advise on a good selection of courses and profs? Hooley, Tennekon, Dalhuisen....?

King's is considered probably the best institute to study competition law at post grad level, primarily due to Prof Richard Whish

My two referees have sent in their references. Does anyone know how long it will take before I receive at least an acknowledgement letter / email? Thanks.

would just like to assure those who are anxious or confused about your modules selection that KCL allows you three weeks in the beginning of term to finalize your choice. you will need to see if you have time-table clashes for one. the reason why they ask you for module selections now is to gauge the class sizes they will get, and then to assign classrooms.
(on a slightly related note - if anyone wants my textbooks in late August, let me know! ;))

jeandeol - it took me 4 weeks exactly to get my tracking details and I've now had the tracking details 2 weeks and I'm still on stage 1. Although the site does say it might take up to 8 weeks for applications received in March. So prepare for a long wait!

the wait is so agonising. Doesn't help that I have offers from Notts and Bristol and I need to reply to them soon.. sigh

Hi everone! I have a question for those of you who went through the application tracking system. I am at stage one and the last update in my tracking account is 6 March 2009. How long does it take to jump from stage 1 to stage 2? Also, I know that you send them an acceptance form in stage 5, but what happens in stages between 2 to 5? Thank you.

My advice is call KCL to ask them these questions. It is always better to discuss with real people.

Stages are described here:
http://www.kcl.ac.uk/schools/law/gradstudy/llm/apply/process.html
I received an offer today! Although my status on the tracker is showing as stage 5 even though I haven't accepted. I will be calling them tomorrow to sort it out but very happy, it was a long wait.

DOn't worry, they'll come to you!
I send my application in December and got an offer in Feburary...they said that it's possible to have to wait for 8 weeks.... as I see, you are waiting for only 1 month!!!!
good luck
