Hello guys! I hope you had great holidays.
I have just received a conditional offer from KCL, but the condition is to take a IELTS test with a minimum score of 7 in all skills. I do not understand since I got 100 at Toefl iBT, with at least 24 in skills, except for listening (21)...

Thanks a lot! I have submitted on the same date as yours. But, my Application Graduation Portal got some problems, it never shows my application status. I have emailed the admissions department twice but they kept saying there's malfunctioning of the portal and would only inform me of the result via online portal. sigh...

So if I understand, I need a score of at least 100 at TOEFL with 24 in each skill. :-(
My application of November was complete mid-december and it took 3 weeks to get an offer.
Do you think it is worth taking again TOEFL or IELTS (I don't know which one is easier) or should I take the pre-sessional courses?? :-(
Thanks and good luck! I hope we'll see each other in September!!!

Does anybody know, if it's possible to decline an offer after accepting it in a first place?
I just got an offer but have a few schools in the U.S, I will not receive an offer until march.

Just call them or send them an email and ask to postpone the date. Normally it won't be a problem :).

At 9.44 India time this morning, i received an email from Web Admissions System informing me that the status of my application had been updated. On logging on, I found that I had been made a conditional offer. Condition being to provide IELTS score over 7 by August 2010. Offer open for 30 days, to be accepted by 7th Feb. No deposits to be made to accept the offer.
I had finished the applications online on 27th November. Hope the information is helpful for people who are waiting for offers.

Hey Congrats.....I had applied on 2nd of November. But even today I'havent received any notification concerning my application. The portal page still shows that application is received and is being processed. I just don't understand why my application is kept pending.

Don't worry, I submitted my application on the 28th of October, and received a conditional offer on Monday. I guess you'll have to wait until next week to hear anything from them :)...

Hi,
I have a question... When you applied online, you chose "Master of Laws", but there was no specialization to precise. I guess we have to choose a module once we will be at school...? :s
Thanks

That follows my recollection, though I made a reference to my preferred specialization in my personal statement.

Hey all - got an offer from KCL a couple of hours ago. For what it's worth, I submitted my application on December 7, though it took one of my referees until the beginning of this month to get his letter in for me. Anyway, it seems like KCL may be making its way through the backlog of applications.
