Hi there,
I have a bachelors degree in another subject, and want to go into the legal profession so applied at a few universities and the College of Law to do a GDL. Is the College of Law reputable? And would gaining a GDL there set me up to work in the legal profession?
Thanks
Scarlett

Yes, the College of Law is well know for the law conversion courses. As is BPP, and a number of other universities (e.g. Nottingham Trent).
If you're going to become a solicitor or barrister, then the GDL is just the start (and it's quite different to an LLM). You will need to think about:
1. the LPC and training contract to become a solicitor
2. the BVC and a pupillage to become a barrister
You can find this all out via the SRA and the Bar Council.

The College of Law is the UK's leading law school
You really need to tell that to Guardian, and other ranking sites immediately. Somehow they completely forgot about you:

An LL.M. is valuable, but it does not give you the right to practice law in the UK. A GDL does.
