Edinburgh 2017/18 LLM

I submitted my application at the end of February and three days later they started to consider my application (on a Friday evening) and then I heard back on the Monday. My friends who applied to different specialties however had to wait anywhere from 2-4 weeks for their applications to be considered. I'm not sure if that helps anyone at all.

Oh okay. Which specialty did you apply to?

I applied to European Law where as my friends applied to Medical Law and Ethics

Does anyone know if it is possible to change specialization in the beginning of the programme?

I think that they recommend that you apply to the specialisation you want but you can change into the general llm at the start of the year if you don't like it whereas changing into a specialisation is harder as it depends if the spaces have already filled up. I think you can make more than one application if you've decided at this stage that you want to do a specialism instead of the general llm. Might be no harm to email your current programme director!

Congratulations on your offer! I have an offer from Cambridge which I will take up if I manage to finish my degree with a first, otherwise I will hopefully be in Edinburgh in September!

Got a conditional offer from Edinburgh. I want to ask, if you guys get offers both from Edinburgh and QMUL which one you will get (both commercial programme)? Sorry if my question not really related to the Edinburgh admission :)

same here, I received offers from QMUL and Edinburgh, but I am most likely going for the latter (still waiting for other decisions)
