East End of London

Having been rejected from UCL :( and needing another acadmic reference for King's College per their request, I am now heavily considering Queen Mary and U of Westminster for my London LLM. I see QM is in the East End of London...I've read a few bad things about East End, but I hear it is getting much better. If I got into QM, should I still go there over U of Westminster, which is much more centrally located in London (Regent's Park from what I understand)?? I know QM is part of the U of London while Westminster is not, but I don't know much about East London and living near Regent's Park sounds nicer. Anyone's thoughts please? Thanks a lot!

You can live at one of the inter-collegiate halls of UOL or places like Goodenough college/International Student House may perhaps be an even better option. All these are located in central London and are almost walking distance from Barbican (LLM courses at QMC, especially those relating to tax and commercial law, are predominantly taught at Barbican). Moreover, in this way one can also take courses at UCl, King's or SOAS without incurring any traveling costs.
