Hi everyone,
Is it any good to do a distance education LLM from the University of London?
Anyone aware of its pros and cons?
Am still an LLB student, was wondering about this program as the costs are definitely lower compared to a full time LLM in London.
Suggestions anyone?
Thanks

Hi....i also wonder abt it too. I'm thinking of doing LLM from External Program as well. However, I have a small sponsor from office that wants me to study short course or diploma or certificate. Anyone knows which school has a mix n match program where I can do half online and half for a real attendance. I wanna do 1/2 in school n other half online n earn LLM degree.

The admissions to the external LLM degress at the Univerisity of London does not include a LLB degress. Is there any one who is currently in the London external LLM programme comment on the academic background/training required to cope with the programme.
I am interested in one of the specialization of the LLM programme offered by the UofL. But I am interested to know in reality how advanced is the coverage of the LLM degree.

You don't mention which subjects you are covering so I'm not sure how applicable my experience will be. At University of Edinburgh, School of Law on the LL.M Innovation Technology and the Law (which is available by distance learning, and also on campus), if you don't have a legal background it is possible to complete the programme, but you may be expected to do extra curricula studies before or during the programme.
When you consider an LL.M full-time requires around 40 hours per week of research, writing and class activity, the first few weeks and months as a non-legal LL.M student may be quite demanding!
