Can I go for LLM without having LLB

Vivienne

Hi everyone.

Does anyone know whether I can go for LLM (perhaps in commercial law) in UK if I have only Bachelor of Commerce from a university in Australia? And I have no background in law besides few subjects in business law during undergraduate studies. I would prefer law school in UCL, LSE, and King's College.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers.

You need to check the admissions requirements of each institution. These are usually easy to find on the respective websites.

I'm not 100% on this but I think they expect you to have a majority of legal study at undergraduate level or the GDL/CPE before you embark on an LLM. You might find some exceptions but I think they will be few and far between at the type of institution you mention.
