Hi, my status still says: Submitted - Your application has been submitted. Your application number will be generated within 2 working days. (Although I have an application number). Does anyone know if this is a bad sign?

You might want to email them and ask. All portals should say "Under review by department" before decisions are made. It's either they forgot to update your portal or they missed your application

Does this indicate something positive or just simply an admin change?

Thanks a lot for letting me know - I wrote them an email, and let’s see. Good luck!

Decision pending ≈ PAO so that's definitely a positive sign. Congratulations!

Still under review by department. I guess "dp" already indicates success.

any idea whether it is possible to get a Phd admission offer even if you have got 2:1 in your LLM at Cambridge?

I believe an upper 2:1 is possible. I think one acquainted of mine had a 2:1 but it was an exception.

Just received a notification from the dep of recommending an offer to PAO.

I was at DP status on Monday as well, so people at DP status might also expect the notification :)

What’s the timeline for hearing about colleges and funding?

What’s the timeline for hearing about colleges and funding?

If it's the same timeline with the LL.M., expect to hear about college membership upon the completion of all conditions set out in your conditional offer, if any. Decisions on funding usually come out March to June.

Does anyone know what the conditional offer from faculty means in practice? I guess I’m wondering what the PAO step entails if - for example - you don’t have outstanding llm subjects etc? Could the PAO reject you on other grounds?

Congratulations to everyone with an offer recommended!

Does anyone know from previous years whether there are multiple batches of PAO or whether everyone not yet recommended probably won’t be this year?
