Cambridge LLM payment server issues

Goose1

Hi! So Cambridge had their payment server maintenance scheduled for 26 - 27 Nov which I tried to avoid by submitting my application today (28 Nov). I was charged the application fee but the payment page brought me right back to the landing page after login showing the status of my application as 'not submitted', with options still to 'edit' or 'cancel' the application.

I've submitted a support ticket but am worried, don't want to miss the deadline!
Is anyone facing similar issues? Any help would be appreciated!

Did. Apparently graduate admissions is "not taking calls until further notice". I've emailed them and the wait time is 4 days :/

Try to email someone from the admin team directly, maybe this would help

It sounds like a lot of people are in the same boat. Here's the email I got:

Dear applicant, We are getting in touch because you either submitted or tried to submit an application for postgraduate study at Cambridge University. We are aware that some applicants have experienced issues in trying to pay for the application fee, and subsequently submit their application.   Please read the below message carefully and follow the advice for the category you fall into.
1. You have successfully submitted your application but paid more than once for the application fee

We have a list of applicants who submitted an application successfully but made more than one payment for that application. We will work through this list in the coming days and you will receive a refund of any additional payments made. Refunds will be issued to the card used to make the payment. If you fall in this category, please wait to hear back from us this week. Please wait for five working days before you contact us to chase a refund.

2. You have successfully made an application payment (or multiple payments) but your application did not submit

Please do not make any further payments, or try to submit your application until we contact you again to do so.  We can see all the applicants who made at least one successful payment but their application did not submit. If you fall in this category, we will contact you with further instructions on how to submit your application either today or tomorrow.   If you have made more than one successful payment for the same unsuccessful application, we will retain the cost of one application and refund the rest of the additional charges to the card you used to make the payment. We will get in touch with you during the course of this week to process a refund. Please wait for at least five working days before you contact us to chase a refund.   We want to reassure you that we will help all those who had issues submitting an application submit their application in time for the December funding deadline. Please check your inbox regularly for updates on this.

If these issues do not affect you, please ignore this e-mail.

Best wishes, Postgraduate Admissions Office University of Cambridge

Thanks for responding. This was so shoddy of them. Glad we managed to submit our applications. All the best!
