Hi! I am reapplying for 2019/2020. I was admitted last year but couldn't get any funding and, as far as I remember, the email from Cambridge with the good news came around this time :) Good luck to everyone out there waiting to hear from the university!
Cambridge Graduate Admissions' website states that:
"The majority of offers of admission are made in February and March. If you applied before the general funding deadlines in December, you should receive notification of the outcome of your application during these months.
If your application is unsuccessful, you may receive notification of the outcome earlier. This is not because your application was not fully considered; this is because the process for establishing all the components of an offer is time consuming."
Hoping for the best, anxiety is about to kill me.

I have received an email from CT trust this morning mentioning the scholarship which is applicable to Chinese applicants that I may be eligible to apply 'if I receive or have received a conditional offer of admission from Cambridge....' So I guess now it is close to the time to release the admission results?

I received a similar email concerning a scholarship opportunity and containing the same phrase "if I receive or have received a conditional offer of admission from Cambridge..." several weeks ago.

I guess it could take longer this year as last year’s deadline was already in November, so a couple of weeks earlier!

Has someone actually called the Law Faculty? It would actually be quite a relief to know on what week results are expected to come in. I'm getting way to stressed out by visiting the applicant portal every morning...

Here's the response I got from Course Administrator Suzanne Wade:
Thank you for your email. All LLM applications are considered as a gathered field after the applications closing date of 5 December 2018. The LLM Admissions Committee will make all LLM admissions decisions as soon as possible, and by 1 March at the latest, but I am very sorry that they are not able to give a precise date as to when the decision on your application will be made within the period between now and 1 March.

Just got the same answer. I guess that makes the waiting all the more exciting!

Oh, boy!

Has anyone heard anything about rejections? Just trying to get a sense of what to expect right now, given that Cambridge usually notifies unsuccessful applicants a bit earlier.

Does Cambridge maintain a waiting list? Are applicants informed that they are on waiting list?

It does not: "Please note that we do not operate a waiting list".

"The Graduate Admissions Office is currently working to a ten day turnaround time while we process a high volume of offers. Please do not contact us about the status of your offer- you can check this on your Applicant Portal."
This message is currently being displayed on the Applicant Portal. So hopefully the wait wont be too long.

The LLM website says "Number of available places: c. 170 (2019-20)". I am assuming that many people would not accept the offer because they would prefer to go to some other college. In such a case, wouldn't Cambridge offer the seat to someone else? Otherwise, the class size would be affected.

I assume they factor in the average number of admitted applicants that go somewhere else when making admission offers.
