#ForeverDC and I am from Hong Kong!
My alternatives are LSE and UCL so I may meet some of you in London soon (and of course, hope to meet you all in Cambridge).

I'm from the UK btw folks (just to add!).
It's past 5 o'clock in the evening now over here so it looks like we'll have to wait for yet another day...I just hope tomorrow is D-Day for all of us still languishing in the D.C. I can't imagine having to endure it until next week or longer!

I really hope to hear something tomorrow. The thought of having to wait for another weekend...

I'm from the UK also..
UCDC could be the name of a successful horror movie where everyone wants to leave but they can't, some post-modern version of purgatory. This waiting has even made me melodramatic - sigh

I've just logged in CamSis and got my response "Application unsuccessful", so they are still updating our information (because until yesterday I was still at DC). I am relieved that the wait is finally over, and now I can focus on arranging everything for London, as I am going there!
Good luck to all of you who are still waiting for a response!
PinkUY, I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like you have a backup school which is great. May I ask, did they also send a follow up email or did they only rely on CAMSIS to notify you?
Yes, my backup school is one of my top three options so it's not the end of the world. Until now, I haven't received any e-mail. The only information I have comes from CamSis.
update: I just got the e-mail. Almost 7 pm in the UK

I'm truly sorry to hear that! Best of luck for London, I'm sure you will thrive there :)
Also, anyone still #ForeverDC here?
Thank you for such kind words! I hope so, and also London is great. Good luck to you! Don't lose hope in the response!

Vari57,
I want to believe that if we don't hear back from them by end of day tomorrow, that perhaps, our chances have increased to be BoGS'ed. After all, next Wednesday is the 15th and in previous years, it appears that more people were reporting that they had been BoGS'ed closer to the deadline date.

Very sorry to hear this! You'll do great in London, I'm sure.
If I don't receive an offer (which will be the case, more likely than not) I'll be joining you in London this year, in my case for the accelerated LPC at BPP. I haven't got accommodation arranged yet but I'm looking into student halls around the Holborn area and private accommodation. I have a training contract with a City firm and they are paying my fees (thankfully!).
I just want this blinkin' application result from Cambridge to come through so that I can crack on with my future living arrangements, like you.
I'm jealous, actually, that you are liberated from limbo now! ;)
Thank you! It is lovely to find support here! I must admit that instead of feeling bad because of the rejection, I am relieved that I am finally free to start arranging my life for the following year, at last!
I hope you are able to get into Cambridge, if not, all of us who follow the same luck can make a group of #ForeverDC in London haha
At least you have arranged the fees' matter. Do they cover the fees for either Cambridge or BPP? And which country are you from? If you don't mind me asking

True, but this year has (seemingly) been unprecedented, so using last year as a yardstick could be a mistake.

Hello again,
A #ForeverDC group in London? I'm in! After this agonizing wait, I think I'll be in recovery for a good long while.
I'm from 'bonny' Scotland, UK and really looking forward to moving to London (either this year, which is by far the most likely, or the following one if I were to go to Cambridge).
The firm definitely covers the fees for BPP as part of the contract I signed but may, in addition, cover at least some of the cost for the LLM, provided that the subjects I choose are relevant for and conducive to my career with them. I heard from an associate already working for the firm that they sometimes provide funding for courses related to the practice areas a future trainee intends to specialise in but I'm not absolutely certain of this or banking on it in anyway.
I haven't asked them directly about this since (a) I'm probably not going to get an offer from Cambridge so won't have to consider this as a possibility in the first place and (b) I would never actually ask them about it myself but would wait to see if they said anything in that regard were I to actually do the LLM first (an eventuality I view as unlikely). So on that score, I'm not certain.
If you don't mind me asking, what are you intending to do post-graduation? Are you hoping to return to Uruguay to work in a law firm there?
All the best,
Vari

I'm not convinced that we can judge this by the same standard as previous years, given that the process this time around seems to be quite different and unprecedented.

"The degree committee is satisfied with your application. However, your offer has not yet been approved"
Pjoedi, Congrats on getting BoGS'ed. Can you advise whether you received a follow up email in addition to the CAMSIS update or were you solely notified via CAMSIS?
Thanks! I already posted this earlier, but I have not yet received any emails, just got a Camsis update!

It has been said repeatedly that it seems like applicantions are not considered based on country, region, continent, or other geographic considerations lol It could very well be based on the time (even down to the minute) of submission (including the completion of all references). So, don't worry about that too much haha
Anyway, #ForeverDC here...today might be the day since the DC had their meeting yesterday.

And yet another very meaningful Eppendorf post...
Just thought that successful Cambridge Alumni might have more interesting things to do than to make fun of applicants in anonymus internet threads?!
The application process really seems to have shaped you if you cannot resist coming back here every single year to enjoy other people's anxiousness.
Anyway, since your comments are not exactly harmful either - have fun!
