Cambridge LLM 2017 - 2018 Applicants

Am I correct in understanding that it is only once we have received our offer that our information is passed to our first and second choice of colleges? (And, then, if they pass on a candidate your info is passed to the other colleges for consideration, which could take some time, I would think). There are scholarships offered through each of my two choices for which I would like to be considered and upon which my ability to attend hinges. I would think that can also take some time, even if one of my top 2 accepts me. Further, I am under the impression that within one week of our offer of acceptance we need to deposit a 3000 pound deposit (which I am assuming will be nonrefundable, regardless of whether we are offered scholarship monies or not) if we plan to attend. But how can we know we are going to attend without knowing our financial situation vis-a-vis monies offered by Cambridge or the colleges?

Does anyone know anything about any of this or have any comments?

I took a glance at my orbuculum. It has told me that some of us will receive the answers we seek tomorrow...

Thank god tomorrow is March 1 and not April 1. If it were April 1, I probably wouldn't believe any status change.

Guys, this thread has become a kind of family for me. I don't know, even understanding that going through the thread over over again will not change anything, I still keep coming back here, reading your posts (maybe this is also due to the fact that I'm unable to concentrate on anything else...).

I do hope that the Admissions office will give us the chance to meet and study together, cause all of you are just awesome to me :)

Thanks for being with me through this long-long-long never-ending wait.
(Getting a bit sentimental, but can't help it).

Guys, I completely understand the insanity, believe me. But what helps for me is reminding myself every day that I will be okay. And obviously I don't know your exact personal situation, but I do know that most of you, like me, will be okay. Think of all the things that you have in your life already that Cambridge's decision will not impact. :)

Also, find yourself a new hobby! I'm trying to distract myself by learning a new language, for example :)

Awwww. Same here. I have actually stopped checking my Camsis. I just come here to read the posts and it really helps with the anxiety.
Best of luck to everyone. Hopefully this will be over soon. Lets just try to focus on the good things going for us already. <3

People reading this next year will have fun.. :-)

You bet. Unfortunately at our expense :d

Very much so. Ashter seems to have taken this to a whole new level, though.

We should start a virtual betting pool on what the date (/week) they will start making admissions decisions will be. I am betting £100 that decisions will only be made (as far as we on this forum will be aware) beginnig next week. I suppose I should hedge my losses somehow. But it's gonna be difficult without having someone set the ratios. Anyone gonna take me up on that bet?

I am insane, aren't I? Oh, well.

LOL."Ashter seems to have taken this to a whole new level, though." This cracked me up. :D

Okay great idea to channel our insanity/anxiety. My moneys on 10th March for the BOGS stage.

I am not aware of the LLM requiring you to deposit 3000 pounds.

That said, the college only starts to consider you when you are given an offer.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I have a tiny little hope that it means they are changing the status...

That happens to me quite often - sorry to crush your little bit of hope :((. You just need to clear your browser's cache, or log in using "incognito mode" - then you'll be able to log into CamSIS.

Nope. It just means that you tried to log in several times or didn't log out the last time you used the system. therefore, the system simply needs you to clear your cache.

P.S. Haha. It seems to happen to almost everyone here.

I guess the fact that it happens to almost everyone here says a lot about how 'desperate' we are :)) (i.e. by logging into CamSIS on a regular basis)

It's only 1.36pm in the UK though (trying to hold on the last bits of hope I have for some update today) :)) I'd personally bet in favour of an update this Friday hehe.

Normally the last two weeks in February until March 15th (sometimes going beyond that date). This year seems to be unprecedented.
