Sorry, i am a bit confused over here. How to define BoGS? Awaiting decision by the Board?
The consensus seems to be that if your status on CamSIS is "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" you have been BoGSed.
There is also, apparently, an "Awaiting consideration by the Board of Graduate Studies" status which an MCL applicant in this thread received before they were rejected.
It is unclear whether anyone who has been BoGSed has ever been rejected, it seems from this thread and from previous years as if everyone who received an "Application Unsuccessful" status was at the "Awaiting consideration..." stage.

I would speculate that the Degree Committee was satisfied with the merits of their application but felt that there could be some issue with the application and its documentation so it passed it along to the BoGS for a second opinion.
Also, to people who have received offers, were you notified by email before you checked your CamSIS? I'm getting tired of refreshing CamSIS every hour.

i received mine earlier on but i have just been informed that i was rejected from my first choice college... i'm assuming college selection is merits-based and i wonder what would happen if i get rejected by both choices, or worse, by all the colleges?
