I've also been BOGS'd today at around 7 pm IST. Really hope this turns into an offer now. Btw, I'm an Indian.

I am an Indian applicant to the LLM programme. . Considering 4 Indian applicants have been bogs-ed already, I am guessing they have made their decision regarding Indian applicants.. any views? ?? My status still reads "awaiting consideration by the department"

It seems that everyone posting on this forum has thus far been BOGSed or still 'awaiting decision'.

So does that mean no one has been rejected yet, and rejections are only handed out after the 15th?

On a somewhat related note, does anyone have the past statistics for the admission/application rate of the Cantab LLM?

I've been BOGSed.

UK applicant (LLB). I assume this means domestic applicants will be hearing soon. Best of luck!

Now to stress over the formal offer.

I wonder if there's any point checking camsis now till the next morning. Status changes wouldn't occur through the night would they?

UK student here, I have received the status: The degree committee is satisfied with your application. However, your offer has not yet been approved.

Guys, suddenly I am not sure what do you mean by "BOGSed".
Do mean that the status shows "Awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" + "The degree committee is satisfied with your application. However, your offer has not yet been approved"?

If so, I have this status for quite a while (more than a week) and did not receive any email from the Board of Admissions.

Thanks in advance and good luck!

Yes, BOGSed means a combination of those two things, for me atleast. It is surprising that they haven't confirmed your offer in a weeks time also. Doesn't make me feel good about my BOGS status anymore :-S

Sorry, didn't mean to worry anyone.
Just wanted to make sure this is what all here mean by BOGSed.
I personally think it only means that your application was reviewed by the board, nothing else. They may decide either way, but if the status did not change it means that they will get to your application later on.

I may be wrong, of course, but will update here once I get any response from them.

As I said, I called the Admissions today and they said that this status means that you are in. I followed up with a question asking whether I can now assume that with the likelihood of 99% I will be receiving an offer and they said yes. I don´t see why they would say that unless it is true.

Hope this is correct. Why then I was not informed in any way?
Why my status did not chance to "Successful" or "Conditional" and no offer has been made?

I just report facts as they are. Never meant to question the info you got.

Because it is not an actual offer but it simply indicates thay all that remains for you to receive an offer is for some procedural aspects to be checked/passed

I know you didn´t, I was just trying to relay the info. I´m sorry if my message came off as rude :) It definitely was not meant like that. Just wanted to put your mind at ease. I saw on the other forum that someone had called the admissions and they said that at this moment it takes about 10-12 for the status to change to offer. I even read some PhD applicant saying that their status had been at BOGS for a couple of months before the offer was made! Obviously it takes time for them to check all the applications and credentials and verify everything and they will probably only send an email out once the final official offer is made. I guess things can still go bad for us but according to the lady at the admissions office this is highly unlikely (unless we have forged our references or something like that). Gosh, at least I hope she was being trutfull - it would suck to be rejected now! Hopefully I´ll see you next September! :)
