How do I know which college I got into?

After you receive an offer from the PAO, they forward your offer to the colleges and you will hear back in around three weeks - according to the website

FINALLY PAO !!
Wishing luck to all under review. The silver lining is that no one has been rejected and people are moving to PAO in phases.
What are the chances of an offer post PAO?

How do I know which college I got into?

First, you will need to get your formal offer notification, which will come to you per email once PAO has cleared you. This email will provide the login details to a separate application management system (“applicant self service portal”) where you can track the status of your offer conditions etc.

After this, your application will be sent to the colleges. You will eventually get either an acceptance or a rejection from your first pref college from your application. If the first pref college rejects you (usually this is because there’s a bit of a first come first served system for postgrads within certain quotas), it will be sent to your second pref college. If the second pref college also rejects you, your app will be sent to a different college by some mathematical model (can literally be any college, but the most common ones would be the mature colleges), who will then have to accept you. If you didn’t indicate any college prefs in your application, they will send the application to a first, second and third by the same aforementioned mathematical model.

As for how long it will take to get a college from when you receive your formal offer, this will depend heavily on how oversubscribed the colleges are. The most popular colleges like Trinity, St Johns and Kings will tend to spend several weeks, even more than a month, to get back to you before your application is either rejected or sent to a new college. They can be this slow even if they’re already more or less full. Other colleges might barely need a week to accept you. Therefore, expect some time between 1-6 weeks before receiving news from your first college pref, and possibly a similar time for the second one. If rejected twice, your third choice should be much faster.

You will get emailed with a welcome package from your college once they have accepted you and the college will also be shown in the aforementioned applicant self service portal. You can’t reject a college once accepted, as that would reject the entire offer for the LLM.

Just moved to 'Awaiting approval by PAO - Awaiting approval by the Postgraduate Admissions Office'.

Will it be a problem if I have not attached an English proficiency test (IELTS/TOEFL) result?

They’ll  simply put the toefl/ielts as an outstanding offer condition in that case. Depending on your background, you might also be able to take the test from the language services centre for free, thus dodging the hefty ielts/toefl fee. They don’t allow this for too many applicants due to resource issues, but you *might* be able to get away with a free and easy english tests through them to clear your language condition if you manage to reach out to the language services and they get an approval from the law fac/PAO.

The most obvious cases where they will consider allowing this is if you have an old language test which would have qualified you which expired within a year or two before you applied to Cam, or if you have other objective proof of sufficient mastery of English from prior studies, e.g., that you completed a master’s degree entirely taught in English around 1-2 years ago or an English LLB a few years ago, etc.

Just moved to pao! Does that mean that we are probably going to get admitted or is there still a high possibility of an unsuccessful response?
