Cambridge LL.M. Applicants 2022-2023

I assume from the quiet here that everyone is still 'under review'?

I think the admission office must start making decisions tomorrow or Friday. Otherwise, we'll soon be approaching the end of month. It's getting ridiculous now.

I'm still under review - this is just extremely stressful. I can't believe that so many kids in India have received a rejection in third week of February and I'm still under review' at the beginning of third week of March!

It's probably a good sign that we haven't been rejected yet at least

hey :) applicant from Germany here. Just to let you know: also "under review by department" for weeks now. It´s a total mess. All we can do is wait for the upcoming hours, days, weeks, months, decades .. who knows

I don't think anyone has, that's the next stage, but most people go straight to pao

This is the update that I received from the department when requesting if there was a way to expedite a decision because of another offer deadline:

"The LLM application decisions have been made but are still being sent out.  Your online account will be updated to show your application outcome as soon as possible."

Still sitting "under review".

The amount of views concerns me a little. It seems to be increasing by less than before, but still around 5k a day. It is hard to believe that all of us will receive offers. Even if I'm responsible for refreshing this feed 2,5k a day.

What I find odd is how few have reported changes to their status. In previous years all the rejections and all the PAOs would be updated in the span of a few days. This was possible because all the decisions were made by the 1 March deadline and I assume the PAO update is a rather simple one. Say all decisions were not made by 1 March this year causing some delay, still, according to this email it surely has by now, so whats the hold-up?

Just hang in there! It’s probably not on their priority list to update from ‘under review’ to ‘PAO’ on the app portal. It’s a manual process, and they’re both kinda short on staff + strikes (still going on and off) and probably also sickness. Perfectly possible that several who are under review are already at PAO without the portal showing it. The actual offer should come at the same time anyway. The time of the actual offer is the only thing which might impact college decisions anyway.

That is the most convincing theory so far. Simply that they do with the PAO stage as they do with the degree committee. They skip the update on the portal and start the process of preparing offers and checking the details. I have heard of individual cases like this where the person got their offer on email a few minutes after the portal was updated.

Still, I wish we could have had an update to PAO if that is the case just so that we don't need to wait so long thinking about whether we'll be rejected or offered a place.
