Hey all! I’m one of the applicants that posted about getting moved to PAO on March 2nd (no clue why I was moved so early). Just wanted to share the info that I emailed the PAO to ask about the timeline for offers this year, and they said you will hear from the PAO (I assume with an offer or otherwise) 5-10 business days from the day you move to PAO. They said they usually aim for 5 but it is sitting around 10 days right now because it’s such a busy time for them. Will keep you posted if I hear anything else! Good luck all!!

On the Berkeley WhatsApp group, someone reported a bunch of rejections being sent over emails for Cambridge LLM. Just sharing an update - still don't know if any assumptions can be drawn here as to the fate of the "under review" applicants.

GUYS!
I JUST HEARD FROM A FEW FRIENDS IN INDIA THAT ABOUT 10-12 PEOPLE ALREADY RECEIVED REJECTION MAILS 2-3 WEEKS AGO. Does this mean that students 'under review' right now are in the reserve list?
Posted Mar 10, 2022 18:28
I think at this point we are grasping at every straw. Can you tell us about when that was?
thanks for the info!

Thanks for sharing! Are these the applicants who got rejected via the portal last week?

No, these were via emails. Probably the week before or so.

No, I highly doubt we are already in the "reserve list" taking into account that barely 4 people over here have claimed being moved to PAO, which in comparison to previous years, that number is ridiculous.
Now, I guess that most of the people who got the rejection email, are those who had already found out about their outcome via applicant portal.

apologies but what does a reserve list entail.

Nope, the guys who got rejected actually received mails and not just portal updates!

Yeah, that´s quite usual in Cambridge´s process. If you take a look at previous threads, you will see that some people found out about being rejected either by checking their status or by directly receiving an email from Cambridge. There were even cases of people who first received the email and then the status was updated afterwards.
Only in the case that the status of those who received the email still is or was "Under Review" until today, we could assume that this was a new day of mass rejections and that things are finally moving again. Otherwise, everything´s still the same.

Troye25, your post was a bit more encouraging before edited :)
Also, it would help to know when those who reported in the Berkeley group received their responses? I really want to believe that we are starting to have reason to hope...

I also want to be extremely optimistic with this hideous process, and I think we are still fine in that we have not being rejected so far and only 4 people have claimed being moved to PAO. I'd be worried if I saw a ton of people commenting that they moved to PAO and my status was still under review, therefore I highly doubt that we have been placed into this "reserve list".
Nevertheless, I think that the fact people learnt about being rejected by email may be relevant for us who are still waiting, only in the case that such people were shortly or still are "under review". I mean, people who were still on this before receiving said email. That would really give me hope that things are moving back again.

If mass rejections went out today there is a high possibility of this
