Hi guys, I am also a LLM offer holder this year and I am new to this thread. I didn't choose any college when I applied and was told that the University will choose a college for me. Anyhow, I have a question - if I apply for college funding, can that college grant it to me and offer me a place regardless of the fact I didn't apply for it initially? Thanks in advance.

Best of luck to all!

Some colleges require you to place them as your 1st or 2nd preference in order to compete for a scholarship. Others don't do that, but expressely states that only memebers of that college will be considered for the scholarship. In other unusual cases, you are able to compete even if you have not been placed in that college (if you are successful, you have to move to that college to take the scholarship).
Therefore, it depends on the scholarship. Read carefully the college's website info to sort out which case is yours.

Thanks a lot! Do you know whether they can consider me for both college and funding where 1st or 2nd preferenece were not a requirement? Or is it all up to the University at this point and I am too late? I would accept college membership if considered for funding...

On the self service account, it says: ‘Please note, your conditional offer is not official until you have received email confirmation of the offer and its conditions. Please do not accept your offer until you have received the email.’

I’ve just received 2 emails. One is a conditional offer of admission (but without the conditions listed). The other emailed contained my self service password.

Does anyone know if we are supposed to be expecting another email or is it one of these 2 emails.

Sorry, I didn't understand what you mean. In fact, you cannot "reject" college allocation: either you accept it or you don't go to Cambridge. You are only allowed to change colleges in very excepcional circumstances (e.g. another college offered you funding).

Just these 2. From now on you have to check your self-service account. Yet funding decisions are sent via email.

Received a Condition Offer!

Since I was so focused on gaining admission, I never bothered to check out the Colleges.

In my application I didn't choose any colleges.

I'm wondering if I can phone up and still give a preference?

Also... can I apply for funding to every college or am I restricted to the college that I become a member of?
