Jw, after all sufferings from Cam you could certainly try to charge them for "moral damage" and sleepless nights:))
I guess a phone call is nothing compared to their admission policy.

I just called and aparently the lady is out for her cigarrete break......according to the girl who answered the Phone, "most" of the decions were took already. Hence, some us, should wait for MOREEEEEEEE

A smoke break! double geeeeeez.
Well, I was admitted by Oxford (my top choice), but would have also seriously considered Cambridge.
Yet... and yet, this process seems to offer a "ring of truth" to what a friend who attended Cambridge told me about the LLM - it's a cash cow and students are treated as such.

Wait, Cambridge also emails rejections, correct?
So if we haven't received the email as yet, then they may not have processed the application?

I am sure that emails will be sent out with decisions soon - but I'm sure not this afternoon. I would be very interested to know how many applicants were still 'in the hunt' so to speak this morning. Has there been any method in their seeming madness? Or was it simply a case going through the applications one by one...surely not?

I gather that they probably did it country-by-country... and those countries with greater numbers of applicants took longer.

I think I am going to call again in a while - they probably shut soon so its worth a try.

I just called and the lady said that she can´t give any info by phone, and that she would send me an e-mail in about a week!?!?!?!

Just in relation to jw's theory about a country by country basis, where is everyone (who hasn't heard) from? I'm irish.
Also, has anyone actually been given any constructive information when they called/e-mailed the office? It sounds like most people are just getting fobbed off with the old 'any minute now' routine.

I phoned earlier when the secretary was prepared to give out the information. Unluckily she was just leaving for a meeting - so it now seems we have to wait longer. I am from South Africa. I saw an Irish person some time back alleging that they had received an email accepting them. My conclusion - their process is random! haha! Surely not!!!

I am from Hong Kong and my friend got his acceptance by email in late March. However, so far I have not been able to receive anything from Cambridge. If they process the applications on a country by country basis, they should have at least sent me a rejection to spare me from all this waitng!!!

Anybody got through to them or learnt something - I am tryuing to reach them but the number is busy

I am sure they are tired of people calling!
I know how I would run the admissions process. The top 200 academic performers would get offers first - as quickly as possible. Those who clearly did not qualify would get rejections early on. The 'middle' group would be placed in order of academic performance and slotted in where any of the first 200 declined to accept their offers. Other considerations such as references and professional qualifications would only be looked at in borderline cases where there was little to choose between two people.
This is more than likely how things happen I suppose.

They told me the decision on my application has been made but she does not want to dig up the docs so she would e-mail me on Monday

I was also promised an email. On Friday I didn't think that my sense of anticipation could grow any more. I was right. Most of the nerves have been replaced by an sense of the hilarity of the situation.

Cambridge has become a running joke.

I am also waiting for the Cam results. Lucky are those who got an early offer ! I have got UNCONDITIONAL OFFER from LSE . Confused which to prefer : LSE or Cam ????

Hi All,
I am in the same situation with tanvisn: Offer from LSE, waiting for months(!) from Cambridge. I am interested in corporate/banking law.
And.. I think i would prefer Cambridge if i got an offer.
