Hi,
Having applied (and been accepted) to more Universities than I can keep track of (and I thought I would not get into any good programs), I am now struggling to decide which one to choose. I have shortlisted 6 Universities and listed them here.
My most important criteria is to obtain a LLM that would impress my future employers and increase my chances of finding a job, either with a law firm or within a company as an inhouse legal counsel in Europe. Of course I have already looked up opinions on the Universities, but informations on their reputation vary, which is why I am a bit insecure which ones to choose. For instance, some people consider SOAS to be a relatively good school for law. It is usually ranked around 15th in the UK for law so it is not bad at all. However, many also state that SOAS is somewhat looked down upon by employers since it can't be compared to the better London Colleges like KCL or UCL.
Obiviously none of them can be compared to Oxbridge, but I would nevertheless want to go for the University which is closest to Oxbridge league.
Having said that, I would really appreciate opinions on the following Universities and their programs:
1) Durham's International Trade and Commercial Law LLM, 2) Leuven's (Belgium) Financial Law LLM,
3) Bristol's International Commercial Law LLM,
4) Exeter's International Business Law LLM
5) SOAS' International Economic Law LLM
6) Lausanne's (Switzerland) International Business Law LLM
Thank you all for your suggestions!
Bristol/Exeter/SOAS or ...

Thank you. Is there a difference between those two Universities in terms of which one is more reputed/known (in Europe)?

Academically Bristol and Durham are the same. Both very very good. One is collegiate in a medieval town the other in a buzzing city.
Both also have a very good reputation in Europe. I would take Bristol.
