Hi guys,
A wee mate told me Edinburgh's LLMs are somehow overcrowded with students from Thailand. Poor quality. Rarely share anything in classes. They say most of them don't even have 2:1. Is this true?

Hi
My name is Ryan and I work for the Edinburgh Law School.
Edinburgh Law School is delighted to welcome a diverse community of highly-qualified Postgraduate students from all over the world. This year (2018-19) our Masters students are drawn from 58 different countries around the world, including from the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Regarding our entry requirements, we require all applicants to have a minimum of a UK 2:1 honours degree or its international equivalent. Entry to our programmes is competitive, therefore meeting minimum requirements for consideration does not guarantee an offer of study.
If you have any questions on our postgraduate programmes, please contact us at pg.law.enquiries@ed.ac.uk.

Hi Mr. Ryan, are you sure the minimum requirement is second-class honor? I think many friends of mine who don't have second-class honor received an offer from your University. I am from Thailand.

This sounds interesting.
I am also interested whether there is a technicality involved in the sense that the international equivalent would be a lower-ranking degree.
Best greetings
