My TOEFL score was one point below the one required. After asking the always-delightful Ms. Wade what I should have done, she advised me to not worry and apply with my current score. She further explained that, apart from the fact that such little difference in the score was to be considered absolutely unimportant, the application is mainly evaluated on other grounds. Therefore, there lower scores in a language test should not prevent you from getting a conditional offer. Of course, I cannot really tell if this argument also applies to language test scores much below the ones required. Moreover, I wish to point out that I have no authority whatsoever on the matter and I suggest that you email Ms. Wade or whomever you deem fit to answer this question as a means of getting a satisfactory response.

okaaay...based on the posts here, i guess the wait has driven some people crazy.
in any case, has anyone had a change in their status from "awaiting decision"? will it ever change to "under consideration" or will it just go straight to an offer or a rejection? i've been obsessively checking camsis everyday (i know, so not good for my mental health) and lurking in the different discussion boards. so far, from what i've read in the student room, a law phd applicant has already received an offer. just wondering if there are any llm applicants who have received an offer or whose applications are already under consideration by the department.

Judging by previous years, January is far, far too early to expect offers. In previous years, most of the offers come out in February and March on a rolling basis. There appears to have been a very small number of offers made prior to this, but I suspect these were outstanding applicants.

The timing position may be different this year, since the deadline date by which we are told decisions will be made is much earlier now (March) than it was last year and previous years (around 15 April). That said, in previous years some people didn't even receive word until after 15 April, so who knows how accurate the new March date will be.

Taking a guess by reference to the meeting schedule of the Law Faculty and the Board of Graduate Studies, perhaps offers will start flowing out from 6 February onwards, and then another batch from 12 March onwards --

I can log-in fine. Perhaps you need to clear your cookies or something?

Works for me. Have you tried logging in using Chrome? Sometimes it does not work properly, as the Camsis website is not optimized for it. Using Firefox allowed me to log in. Still "awaiting consideration", though.

No problems logging in. Frustratingly, the status still says "awaiting consideration". I was hoping for some sort of change (even just to "under consideration") since the Law department already met on the 17th. But, according to those who have been offered places last year, camsis takes a while to update. If someone gets an offer, the email notification would probably come first and it would take camsis a couple of days/weeks to reflect the change in status. So, I guess we can torture ourselves and just check our emails every hour or so :)

I am still 'awaiting' and my application was complete on the 31st of October. A friend who submitted around that time is also still waiting. I think we have awhile left on this road so we shouldn't hold our breath. I'm hopeful things will start moving by the 2nd week of February though! This wait is an arduous one!!

Guys, let's focus on something else. Eventually, they will email us about our fate!

On an entirely different note, has anyone applied to the MCL programme at Cambridge? Chances to get in seem very slim but did put in an application.
