Unsure about prospects

I got a 4.2/7 CGPA degree (55+%) from a top ranked law school in South Asia. I am confused as to what they mean by 2:1 and First. I have worked in multiple jurisdictions for four years and am qualified solicitor in England and Wales.

I presume I shouldn't bother applying to Oxbridge, but what colleges could I apply to with this profile of mine? Applications take time and money and just would want to know from an experienced hand as to which colleges I shouldn't even bother considering.

Thanks

Are you applying to colleges in the USA? I believe
If you have a genuine financial difficulty some of them waive off your application fee.
A lot of schools in the UK don't have an application fee..
With your grades you should apply to QMUL
Nottingham Kent Glasgow Durham Cardiff.
You could take a shot at L S E kings and UCL.. but getting in might be tough since the top 5 UK colleges are finicky about grades.
I do believe ultimately it is the whole package so take a shot at the schools and programs you like.
A2:1 is the Indian equivalent of a higher second class btw.
