UCLA LLM or Kings/UCL LLM or LPC

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well 1f600

Some background info: I'm from Istanbul, Turkey. Have a US passport. Debating on whether I should do law in the UK or the US. Currently a 3rd year at Durham University; predicted to get a high 2:1 (65-70)

I recently received offers for an LLM from NYU, Georgetown, Berkeley, and UCLA (with a 50% scholarship). I accepted UCLA's offer because the scholarship was a really nice touch and affirmed my decision to choose that school if I went to the US. Plus, I am aware that if I wanted to practice Law in the US, I would need a degree from the US.

Also, I have received a rejection from LSE, been admitted to Kings, and am waiting for a decision from UCL (I'm thinking I will get in). These have the condition that I get a 65 on my final markings.

In your opinion, which school would be better and more prestigious to do an LLM? or should I just start an LPC instead.

Thank you guys in advance, these forums are the goldmine of the internet istg.

I’m confused. You talk about practicing in the US and then wonder about an LPC. Where are you looking to end up, the US or UK?

I would say very generally I would take King’s or UCL over UCLA. I think they are more prestigious law schools. But that’s in a vacuum. What country you want to live in, what jurisdiction you want to study, and what network you want to be a part of are also considerations.
