Hi there,
Are there members of this board who have participated in the Columbia Summer Program? I was thinking about it myself. It's either CSP or Cambridge's English Legal Methods. Does anyone have experience with it? Which one is better? And is doing a summer school worth it all? I am doing a second masters degree next year so I am not planning on doing an LLM after that. I therefor thought a summer course would be perfect for the international experience. The downside of CSP is that it is held in Amsterdam, my hometown, and not abroad which is what I really want.
ps: Do let me know if there are other legal summer programs!
Thanks in advance everyone!

ELM at Cambridge is an unforgettable experience! I remember I was at Selwyn College, with all international students! We had dinner at the dining hall together, parties, interesting seminars, and the College was very close to the Faculty of Law and its library. Plus, the teachers are excellent (of course!). I don't know about Columbia Summer Program but I would recommend Cambridge!!!

Wow thank you! You got me really excited about ELM! Which courses did you choose or can you recommand? And how many students were there in your class? Is it a fulltime study or did you find you had lots of spare time left? Oh and where did most students hail from?

So many questions... :D
Everybody was very happy with the program! People are from Europe, South America, Asia...- > from non-common law countries.
We were max. 120 students, but the seminars were small (about 10 people). I chose "contract law" (and I recommend it!) and "administrative/constitutional law". I heard that "company law" was good too.
Cambridge is very prestigious and you won't be disappointed.
You have courses about English law in the morning (tort law, labour law, international private law, family law, company law, etc) and during the afternoon, you have free time to study or you have seminars (you'll receive your own schedule). Or you have fun with yours new friends.
Actually, we (students from ELM program) are still in touch... :-)
