Hi everyone,
Sorry for the many posts, i'm just in a rut. My concerns stem from me trying to squeeze in all my subjects so I can finish by december 2006. Do you need a law degree to apply or is it sufficient that you will complete your degree prior to admission?
I notice all prospective universities do not start the LLM until september 2006. The reason I am squeezing in my subjects is that I thought I would need my law degree for application purposes.
Basically, is it okay to have one or two subjects left when you apply? Or must you have your degree?
Many thanks for your help ~
Is it okay to apply while still a student? (will get my degree 4 months before september admission)

It is okay to apply when you are in your last year of law school. It does not matter how many subjects you still have to take...

Thanks. I read it on the Utrecht website but was unsure.

This is not the case for the University of Oslo. Despite the fact that i'll complete my studies in jan, 06, tis is not good enough for applications in november/december.
See, universities differ and there is no universal rule - doe snayone know the uni's I should have no problem with?

I know somebody who finished their LL.M. even before finishing their undergraduate degree. The LL.M. was just awarded under the condition that the undergraduate degree would follow anytime; once the first degree was done the LL.M. was activated too. You won´t find that on most unis though, but since LL.M.s are mostly open for people with non-legal backgrounds too a missing first degree shouldn´t prevent you from applying at all. And since you ARE working on your legal degree I don´t see it to be a problem. Just make sure to ask the uni before applying.
