General or oil and gas LLM?

emmy

Hi everyone,

I'm facing a dilemna and would really appreciate your help.
I would like to do a LLM but I don't know how to choose it.
I am wondering what's the best: General LLM in one of the best ranking law school or specific LLM in a no well known university?
For the specific LLM, I'm thinking about oil and gas.

Thanks for your help!

Well, the answer to your question depends on your career plans, personal subject preferences, etc, doesn't it?
In general: What does "one of the best" mean? If you mean Oxbridge and are attracted or at least not repelled by the "special" atmosphere -> go for it. If we are not talking about Oxbridge and "one of the best" means Bristol, Durham, Exeter etc., you might want to favour the Oil&Gas law option..

in fact Oil/gas is taught in well-known universities such as Dundee, Aberdeen, Calgary, Houston, Oklohoma, although they are not as highly ranked as Oxbrige, NY, Columbia, Harvard, etc. :-)
