Hi Guys,
To introduce myself very briefly, I have recently completed my coursework in law from a university that features in the top 5 law schools in my country. My profile looks as follows:-
(a) CGPA - 2.8
(b) Summer school from LSE (Grade- B+)
(c) Additional qualifications in M&A, Investment Laws and Corporate Finance
(d) Outstanding Contributor Award for suggesting major changes to a legislation.
(e) Publications in several national and international law reviews.
(f) Internships with top law firms in the country, under a judge and with regulators as well. (11 internships in total)
(g) President of an International Student Body
(h) Pro Bono Legal Aid Volunteer with a NGO
(i) Part of several committees and cells in my university.
(j) Went for an international student exchange program.
(k) Have organised several legal events and competitions on a national level.
Given my grades, I am not too hopeful of getting into a top law school for my LLM, however in the light of rest of my profile, what are my chances of getting into a decent US/UK Law School for LLM? My area of interest is corporate/commercial law.
Would really appreciate everyone's inputs on this one.
Thank You !

I think that the top schools are fairly picky, and given the number of qualified applications they get each year, it's hard to be competitive with a lower GPA.
However, your publications and internships will probably help mitigate it, to some degree. Some good reading here:
