I have been working with the folks at www.BarSecrets.com for nearly three years referring students to its Cal Bar prep program from my school and others and have seen great results from those that undertake the program. This program is essay focused.
I also normally suggest candidates augment this program with MicroMash for support with multiple choice questioning (the MSBE questions).
BarBri is a national alternative, as well as Emmanuels.

I am a Chinese attorney. I passed the California bar. I strongly recommend to have a tutor who will work with you on essay and PT writing, leaving understanding and memorizing the law to yourself only.
My tutor is Linda Wilde, she is a retired judge who teaches legal writing in law school. I attribute my passing to her.
She can be contacted at 209 481 9372
You can contact me at lindayinliang@gmail.com with more questions.

Thak you Linda Liang. I am Judge Wilde. I am a retired judge, who worked as an appellate attorney for 12 years, then in the California courts for 17 years. I have been teaching law school for 12 years, specializing in legal writing. I offer a variety of programs for the California Bar review ranging from help with legal writing to one on one private instruction on the law & on writing the exam. I would be please to hear from anyone who is looking for help on these subjects. I do nnot do MBEs, however, and would defer to the Professor on that subject. Thanks and best wishes - Judge Linda Wilde, ret.

I am a foreign lawyer. I did not go to US law school. I spent one year to prepare for California bar with great help of my tutor, retired Judge Wilde, I passed.
A great tutor is key to success because Bar exam is about thinking like an American lawyer. Lawyers are supposed to persuade Judges. Judge Wilde is the best to tell you how she could be convinced.
I recommend her to you. Let me know if you want her contact info.
Good luck!
Linda
