Has anyone else been accepted into the 2018-2019 IP LLM in Turin? If so, where are you from?
I thought this would be a good forum to exchange information and ask advice. Feel free to introduce yourself and ask some questions.

Did you apply for WIPO scholarship?
Any progress on that front?

I applied for the WIPO scholarship at the same time as the application in December. I have not heard anything about the scholarship yet. Anyone else hear anything?

Hey I am originally from West Virginia, but am living in Florida. I have lived all over the place though. I applied beginning of March and heard back just a couple weeks later. I haven't received any info yet. Just paid deposit and am waiting to start process to get Visa and get docs translated into Italian.

Anyone know about how many people will be in this LLM class?
Posted Apr 07, 2018 02:13
The WIPO website says there’s a total of 40 spots for students total in the program.
I also paid the deposit and I’m starting to receive my apostilled transcripts/diplomas back from the universities/State. It sure takes time to get everything completed, haha. I’ve yet to get my hands on an official list of Italian translators to translate the apostilled documents. Do you happen to have a list? I sent the Italian Embassy an email a month ago but never received any info back.
Has anyone found anything out about health insurance? I know we are required to have it for Italy. Also, has anyone given much thought about living arrangements? Any recommendations?

What's up guys. I got accepted too. I'm from Frankfurt, Germany. I'm happy I found that post to be honest. Makes me less nervous! The search of accommodation is the biggest question yes!

Hey Simon! Congrats on the acceptance. I'm glad you found the post too. Excited to start?

Yeah quiet excited. While there's still so many things to handle before getting started. E.g. does anyone have a clue when and how they will give some information on the procedure from june to august?
And to your question on accomodation... I'm steadily looking but so far it's either a lot of money for just one room or prices that'd be too nice for a flat to be true, haha. My last time abroad I was too afraid to go for community living. But this time it could be a good idea.
What about you guys? Any achievements with flats?

Hi! I'm Mara and I am from Bucharest, Romania. I also have been accepted and I just wanted to say hi to everyone.

Hi, I am from Kazakhstan. I only applied for WIPO scholarship, didn't apply for master program separately, is it necessary?

Hey Simon,
Yeah! So much to do! I asked the same question and they just said to wait for WIPO to contact us. I’m assuming that may happen in May?
Regarding accommodation, same for me. I’ve browsed, but haven’t picked anywhere yet. I’ve heard that some prior students lived close to campus, but that’s far from downtown where everything happens. Others lived downtown and commuted to campus. I can’t decide what’s best. What do you think?
I’m not totally sure what an average price in Turin is. There seems to be a lot of variability. And the exchange rate from USD to Euro is not in my favor (thanks Donald).

Hi Mara! Welcome to the group. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to post. We are all trying to help one another navigate this process and anything helps!

Hey there! I’m not completely sure. I know that you can apply on both the Turin IP website (for admission only) and the WIPO website (for at least the scholarship), but I’m not sure if the WIPO route accomplishes both. Anyone else have an answer to this?

Hi Abay, I also applied for the WIPO scholarship only and did not apply for the program separately. I think it is not necessary to apply separately. WIPO application is treated as an application for the program as well as for the scholarship. I am still waiting to hear any news from WIPO. Let us know if you hear one. Good Luck. :)
