Public International Law - Leiden/Groningen - Keuzegids - Advanced v. Regular degree

Inactive User

Hey guys,

Recently I was accepted at the University of Groningen (PIL). I'm also waiting for a response from Leiden (same programme). Just curious, whether anyone has an idea, which university is better when it comes to Public International Law?

Also, Leiden has an advanced programme in PIL. If someone could enlighten me, please, what's the difference between regular and advanced degree?

Lastly, is there an English version of Keuzegids? All I could find was in Dutch.

Thank you in advance ;)

Hello,

I think https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/law/education/advanced-masters-programmes will give you good information about the difference between regular master programmes and advanced master programmes at Leiden Law School. The Advanced Master PIL will also give you the possibility to either specialise in International Criminal Law or Peace, Justice and Development.
Kind regards,
Anette

Don't know about content difference and can't speak about PIL specifically, but advanced have higher tuition fees. am looking at int. commercial law at groningen and considered int. civil and commercial law at leiden which was advanced. advanced are around 18000 euro per year for all students. regular around 2000 euro per year for EU and 15000 for non-eu. not sure if fees are a factor for you. good luck
