Hi everyone,

I am planning to apply to FU Berlin for the 2019-2020 term. I am currently checking out the website but couldn't find any information about application period for 2019-2020. The application period last year started on January 20, and I think it would be the same this year?

Secondly, I realize that language requirement is "level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)" which is really low. Do you know any information about this requirement? whether is true or not?

Hi! I also want to apply to FU for the MBL 2019-2020. I reviewed the page last week and get to a register page in which it is mentioned that application for this period will start on 21.01.2019 - 1000 am and finish on 30.09.2019 - 1159 pm. I let you the link at the bottom.

Regarding the English requirement, I read in an old post that a 7 score in IELTS is fine. A friend of mine was admitted in 2017 with a similar score.

The English proficiency requirement, indeed, is currently set at B1 CEFR. We are aware that this is very low and are actually in the process of changing this admission requirement for the next application period. For now, however, B1 is the minimum requirement. The big majority of our applicants have a much higher language standard, thus backing up the high quality of our programme.

the application deadline is May 31. Before that, we only contact you if in your application something is missing out. After the application deadline, the Admisssion Committee will take its final decision and inform all applicants in about mid-June. If hope this answers your question.
