Hi everyone!!!
I am waiting for an answer in Lund University for the master in Human rights.
I could see here that all of you guys are very helpful and I will really appreciate any further information you could give me.
I would like to know how hard it is to get accepted in this programme.
Are there a lot of foreign students?
How well known and how good is this programme? What about job opportunities after this master studies?
I am sorry for all of these questions, but I am really anxious about all this and also very curious!!!
Does anybody here applied for this master this year?!!
Nice to meet you all!!! :)

Lot of people had the same questions (me too) in this discussion board. First, we don't know , how many people applied, so it's hard to estimate the chances and rates. In the programrme there are only international students, but Swedish students can join us during their "normal" degree progamme.
This master has an excellent reputation, and according to the webpage of the faculty every student had found a job since.

Thanks a lot satine!!!!
Are you a current student in Human Rights?
Did you need to have a lot of experience to be admited in this master?
And is it easy to find a job in Lund?
Again, sorry for all these questions!!!
I can't see the time to see the results for this master!!! It s very hard to wait for this long without any information from them!!!

I think you should read the whole thread, everybody had/have this questions, I answered lot of them some weeks before. And yes, I am a current student here. If you have further questions, of course I try to answer. I think you will have the answer from the uni at the end of April/beginning of May.

I've applied to the LLM in international human rights and labor rights program. I would love to get to know some people in that program and people who are applying to that program... :-). I am a student from Liberia, West Africa but is a USA Resident. I don't need TOEFL since I graduated from a university in the USA. Can some one tell me how many students are accepted into the program.

I applied 2 programs at lund : Human Rights and Business law, i am interested in both subject, but in the end it would be available only 1 program to be engage in.
Btw chezmozart, i also work as a lawyer in my country, i've been doing it for living for the past 3 years, and it is really exhausting, i've spend 19 hours a day at the office, and only 4 hours of sleep at home.
But still i'm not rich enough to finance my LLM program.... :((

I am from Indonesia.
As for human rights lawyers, we don't have the specific term about it. Most of lawyers in Indonesia are separated into two types of lawyers : Litigation and Corporate/Consultant lawyers. Usually through the Legal Aid foundation, litigation lawyers act as a Human Rights Lawyer, engaging in a pro bono case at most of his/her career. Recently in year 2000, our country establish the new judicial institution namely Court for Human Rights matters. But usually those who engage in the court are those who has the license to appear in regular court.
yup lets hope for the best...29th of april seems so long....

Seltue - where are you in the US? I'm in between Baltimore and D.C. - maybe if we're close to each other we could meet up.
Like each of you, I am soooo anxious about the admission results. But for those of you who are in the program (Satine!), has Lund and the program lived up to your expectations?
