Hi there,
Just wanted to ask if any of you have any recommendations for an LLM program in competition law (european law) in Europe. I've heard Queen Mary, Tilburg and Amsterdam offer solid programs in Competition and European Law.
Any ideas?
Thank you in advance.

Hi there,
maybe I can't help much your question, here is all that I can tell you:
Currently I'm a master student at Tilburg University. but from another master, which is International Business Law. However, I happen to have Competition Law as part of my 1st semester course. I really like the course, even, I can say that, rather than the other IBL Courses, one of my favorite course is EU Competition Law, and I just did the exam yesterday x_x I like the professor, he taught very clearly. maybe that's why I like the course.
I hope this is helpful :D

Hi! :)
Well, I am from EU law, and I am taking the competition track (competition law, advanced competition law and state aid and public procurement courses). Even though I've just done the first semester I can fairly say that prof Larouche is amazing! haha
That's the general feeling in the class... and you can tell just by looking at his classes.. No one usually misses his lectures, he is really nice and clear and we get him very easily I think.
Now, having said that, lets wait for the exam, which was quite long, to be honest, but... well, it's done now! :)
As to the other courses and professors, I really cannot tell yet, but I took this university because overall I think it's got a good reputation. Campus is really nice, although you should know that the city itself cannot be compared to Amsterdam... And the same applies to the other universities, since I did not go!
haha
Hope it helped somehow, and Good luck!

Hey there, Maybe I can offer some advice, though not entirely impartial ;-)
I studied at VU Amsterdam and I think they have a pretty solid programme, also the city is just brilliant! Now I work at the MBL programme at Freie Universität Berlin (yeah, I went from one Free University to another^^) and I must say they have incredible lecturers from all over Europe (especially UK and Germany) as well as the US. I have a friend at QMU and I think London is just absolutely her city and she's always invited to fancy corporate dinners, so that sounds like a lot of fringe benefits. She's also really happy with her courses, I saw one of her lecturer (Dimopolous) here with us in Berlin and he has a refreshingly open approach to his subject. I have no ideas on Tilburg apart from that I went there for a day-trip and the city is picturesque but not exactly exciting, but maybe one day of experience is just not enough to really get to know the city.
Hope this helps and much success with your application(s)!
