Hello everyone! I'm from Rio and I'd like to apply for a few universities in The Netherlands, like Leiden and Tilburg. But I have some questions regarding the documentation. I could really use some advice as to how to send documents and traslations.
For example:
(i) Do I need to send the original docs (records, diplomas, refference letters)? or
(ii) can I send a copy of those?
(iii) does the copy need to be "certified" or "autenticated"?
(iv) does the signature and stamp of a public notary work? or
(v) do I have to get them autenticated by some kind of authority?
I really appreciate if you guys could help me with these questions. Beijos.

Hello!
My advice is- never send any originals. These are your diplomas and you need them.
Public notary verification of your documents should be sufficient at this stage for sure. Once you are accepted, they might or might not want another level of verification, but for now, I would suggest you to use just the public notaries.
Best of luck with your applications!

I've applied to Tilburg (and I've been accepted to the LLM in International Business Law) with simple copies of my documents, of course, officially translated. Never send the originals....

I too sent a simple scan of my documents to Leiden and got accepted with no problems.
Just do the same and if they would require additional verification, they would offer you admission nevertheless, conditional upon you showing them your original certificates.
