I am thinking about specializing in international law in the Netherlands. Almost everyone tells me that Utrecht is better than Leiden now. But as far as i know, Leiden is famous for its law programs. Does anyone know which one is better, for example, regarding the teaching and study quality?
Thanks A LOT!

Hey there - I've been accepted into both but I think I'm going to choose Leiden - i'm told by academics here that it is better plus its a nicer town and its closer to The Hague.

hi,
I've accepted a place at Utrecht for human rights - apparently it is one of the best in that field - it was recommended to me by someone in the know but i'm not sure how it rates for int. law - i imagine they are both pretty good!

Hi there.
Regarding the question why I chose to apply to Utrecht instead of Leiden in the end is greatly involved with my research interests. Both international and european law attracts me, and I found that Utrecht may provide me both of them. Also, there are some moot court opportunities at Utrecht, which I find quite facsinating.
One reminder to those haven't submmitted their applications, the course design of the program of International and Europena Law at Utrecht has been changed a little bit in the late January. This piece of information may be found on the official website of Utrecht School of Law.
Last but not the least, I am told that Utrecht is a very beautiful place. And, a friend of mine is currently an enrolled student at Utrecht. I guess all the above explains why I applied to Utrecht instead of Leiden in the end.
Good luck!

I am a current student at Utrecht. The school and program are fine but the administration and organization is horrible. It is very difficult to find out about moot competitions and jobs in the beginning and once you know who to ask, it is sometimes too late. Most students that have been here a year have been frustrated in how things have been run in terms of international students. I also feel that due to its small size, it is hard to get practical experience outside of classes. Internships, assistantships and jobs are harder to come by.

Hi everyone. i have a couple of questions, so I would be very grateful if you respond me.
I have been accepted to Utrecht Uni, LLM in international Business Law and Globalization. But I will have to spend around $ 21 000 for this program. Does it worth it? If yes, what are the employment chances after graduation?
Thanks in advance and hope someone will answer my question.
