Hi Spook,
I have chosen Essex for LLM in IHRL this year. Which accommodation have you opted for?

Hi McLegally,
At the moment I have a room in Sainty Quays. Apparently we can still cancel up to 1st September so I am still exploring options.
How about you?

After having a word with the accommodation officials I learnt that Keynes tower is reserved for Post-Graduate students. Hence I have reserved a room there. Though Sainty Quays was on my mind too.

Hi McLegally,
What finally swung you to going for Essex? I was in a similar quandary having been accepted at several London institution's too, but felt I would benefit from Essex's reputation in this field.

To be honest I had not researched in detail about various courses before applying. I mostly relied upon the advice of people already working with igos/ingos in Europe and Africa. Among the many universities which my friends recommended, the ones on everyone's lists were LSE, Essex and AHD. Hence I applied to these three and got through LSE and Essex. While making a choice between these two I learnt that Essex offers two to three modules which are very much related to my area of interest. Also I had heard great stuff about the strong reputation of the faculty at Essex. So all in all for me it was primarily the modules offered at Essex.

Hey everyone,
For those of you starting a postgraduate human rights course in October, the Essex Human Rights Alumni Association has created a Facebook group. Ffeel free to join it! http://www.facebook.com/groups/134672879958859.
And if you have any question about the course, feel free to contact me. I can only recommend Essex, it's an incredible place for human rights (and I can speak from experience...)
Cheers!
