EMLE 2013/2014 Applicants

super

Maybe it will only come next week, let's wait and see.

Ps. Quantos brasileiros!

As I said before, there are two main reasons to find more Brazilians than anything else here:

1 - There are more lawyers and law students in Brazil than in the rest of the World.

2 -In Brazil, opportunistic behavior is dominant - the majority of public positions (or even the chance of having a master or PhD degree) depend on personal favors and has no relation with merit nor objective criterion. Judges, legislators and executive officers are (as a general rule) corrupt and illiterate people... than, there´s no internal opportunities (in public or private sectors) for who wants to work, study or perform cooperative activities.

Well...I don't think it's coming today anymore. One more day of agony! :S

Hi Julia!

I am tired too. My interview was one month ago! And my interviewer said that the results should be released in two weeks!

Please introduce yourself. Have you had the interview? Which universities did you chose? Can you tell something about your background (as a reference)? Have you ever been in a master program before?

I just got the mail!!! :)

They said they will nominate me to the European Commission for an scholarship and that I ranked #3 regarding the non-EU applicants. The problem is the final results will be "before the end of April". So I guess I still have to wait even longer.

Hope all of you have gotten good news from them too :)

Congratulations for you Mariana!

I ranked 1#. We meet in EMLE!

They inform a deadline to accept the scholarship and they say: "please note that in previous years, all nominations have been approved by the European Commission".

Probably, if we don't answer in time they will call others in order.

I am still anxiously awaiting their email.

Considering #1 and #3 have been notified, do you think they're sending out their admission letters by ranking order? If so, I hope it's not a bad sign that I haven't gotten it yet.

Congrats to everyone who's been admitted! If anyone has any more news, please share.

Good luck!

"The Joint Selection Committee has received 244 eligible third country (non-EU) applications, while for third country students there are roughly 30 places available in the programme (and only 7 of them are nominated for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship: 4 on the general list and 3 by specific windows for some regions)."

Ahhh! I did not receive a word, and I am guessing tomorrow is also a holiday in Holland. Did someone, non european, receive any e-mail with a no or saying that you were accepted but with no scholarship? I am starting to get nervous.

Congratulations to all the people admitted to the EMLE Programme! Especially to Super who got the 1st Rank among the non-European. I´m from Argentina and I also got admitted to the EMLE Programme. I´ve got a partial waiver.
The problem is that I also got admitted to the IASL Program at McGill University and the PILC Program at Vrije University Brussel. What do you think guys? Where should I go? Since I work for a public institution related to Aviation here in Argentina, they might pay the McGill Program and the living expenses in Montreal. What would you do in my position?

Hi guys,

I'm currently studying the EMLE program and hold a scholarship.

However, The guys in rotterdam will do their best to answer all your questions, emails etc. asap and the reason why you receive the offers so late is that they run a PhD program (EDLE) where they have to choose applicants as well. We have been in a similar situation last year. All of the Rotterdam EMLE staff are great and work very very hard to send you the results asap. You can trust me on that. Especially the coordinator in Rotterdam, Wicher Schreuders is just awesome. The same is true for Bologna.

Moreover, if you don't receive a scholarship, don't worry. For EU students there are more ERASMUS mobility grants. For non-EU students there are plenty of possibilities regarding scholarships.

Anyways, the program is very nice!

Good luck and we will meet next year when we have our graduation and you guys will recieve your master thesis topic.

Make sure you join the current facebook group EMLE 2012/2013. In this group you can ask students and you will find help and tips for accomodation etc.

Best.

Congrats everybody selected for the program!!

Do you know how many European students applied for the master, and how many places are there?

AMatrix, I have the same question, i´ve been admited in VJB Brussels too, but i think i´m going to choose this program, cause the opportunity to take part in different Universities and different cities is unique, I thik this EMLE would be the best choice ( at least for me).
Btw, which Universities did you choose?
