Hi all,
I've got in touch with the Hamburg Office and they said that the admission process is handled by the Rotterdam Office, and since they haven't picked up the phone anytime I've tried to called them, I guess there's nothing for us but to wait...

Nothing yet, guys?
Posted Mar 21, 2013 18:49
Nothing madam!

Nothing yet, but I spoke to the Erasmus Mundus liaison at my university, and she said this delay is unusual, and probably has to do with the number and distribution of scholarships, and not the number of applicants.
Guess we'll just have to wait. Too bad, I was hoping to hear from them this week.

Yesterday I asked if students that were accepted would also know the universities they got in via email or if they would have to wait for a letter and their reply was the following:
"Dear Sofia,
We expect to announce the outcome of the review of the applications very soon. It will be announced by e-mail.
Admitted students will be informed regarding payment of the 1. Installment after this. "

Sofia, they are being very evasive, don't you think?
They didn't answer properly your question regarding the universities...

True. I guess they are responding the same to everyone that is writing to ask when we will know the results. I really dont know that "very soon" means to them. Today, monday...next friday? Its really nerve wracking.
What I can deduce from the email is that the admitted ones would also know the universities they got chosen via email.

I have a very bad feeling about all this :-/
Posted Mar 22, 2013 15:49
Sofia, I couldn't agree more. They are refraining from telling us any kind of details...
I guess there is no use to continue writing or calling them. We'll just have to wait.
At least we are all in the same situation. I would be more worried if everybody already had an answer but me.

True Camila. We are certainly all in the same situation.
Lets just hope for the best for all of us!! Good luck guys.

In EMLE's site, there are different time lapses for "admittance" and "scholarship nominations". They should tell us about ranking and admittance first, and then decide about scholarships, fee waivers and placement... Would be easier for all!
Anyway, anything is unusual this year... It's not supposed to take so long... "Mid-March" is gone and nothing...

Has anyone have any news from EMLE? I am really starting to think they will wait until the very end of march to tell the results....strange though? In other years people had their admission even before the 15th...
Please as soon as someone has news, do share them!

I'm sorry to say that I've got no news at all, but since this is the last week of March, if the outcome of the results doesn't happen in the next four days, I'm sure they will write us to explain what is going on. At least I hope so.
Does anybody know if this friday will be a regular working day at the EU? I ask this because in Brazil it will be a holliday, due to the arrival of Easter.

Oh, the AGONY!!!
If i didnt have the email stating that all my documents were received I would have started doubting if i even applyied for the EMLE hahahaha.
Has anyone tried to reach them again? Even the email from last thursday saying "really soon" seams quite far away now.

I'm in SUCH an agony too!
The last e-mail I reveived from them, in which they said that the outcome of the results was expected "soon", is from March 13 two weeks ago!
I don't want to sound annoying, so I'm controlling myself not to write AGAIN, but it's SO hard!

Maybe it will only come next week, let's wait and see.

I couldn't help sending another e-mail:
"Dear Mariska,
I'm really sorry to bother you again. I don't want to sound annoying, but, in your previous e-mail, from two weeks ago, you've said that the outcome of the results was expected soon. Nevertheless, as far as I know, none of the non European applicants have heard from you yet. We are starting to get very anxious, because this is the last week of March and, in the previous years, the results were published much sooner.
Is there anything you can tell me about what is going on?
Thank you very much and sorry once more for the disturbance.
Best,"
As soon as they answer, I'll let you know.
E, sim, muitos brasileiros! =)

There's a reply already!
Check it out:
"Dear Camila,
My colleague is busy with the outcome and the mailing. I expect he will announce the outcome this week.
Kind regards,"

Thanks for the info Camila!!! So, since her colleague is "busy" since 2 weeks ago and still is, I am thinking we will just have to wait until the very last day :(
Hope with all this emails, the famous colleague feels a bit pressured to send the results sooner.
I am from Perú by the way! But good to meet so many brazilians :)

Thank you so much for asking again!!! We will just have to wait a couple of days more. Hope they also let us know already on the scholarship results and the assignation of universities. I'm so stressed out because of this! :-/ At least now I know I'm not alone...
