neither did i. maybe because we weren't approved for scholarship?
Posted Apr 28, 2006 15:58
That's odd. Well, he did say he emailed those who were _nominated_ for a scholarship (not yet approved). Or maybe he limited it to Rotterdam first termers. In any case, anybody offered admission to the program and wants to be part of the egroup is automatically included.

I did receive the confirmation from Ghent University and Hamburg University, in that I were admitted for EMLE programme one month ago.
If you havenot yet received the important letter, you should ask the university where you applied for.
Good luck!

Hi all!
I have just been admitted in the EMLE program, but if going in 3 universities is great, I have some worries about the studies and jobs that you can do after this master, because of the specifity of "Law and Economics"... Is it helpful to pass a bar exam? Or is it aimed at forming companies' lawyers? Which type of law is analysed : common law, civil law, EU law, or all?
If anyone could help me in this matter, since I ve been admitted in british universities for LLMs in International law...
Thanks!
PS : Sorry Hanhhalan I'm afraid I ll be of no help since I m from EU, maybe you should refer directly to the EMLE office, I've heard they were very helpful!

Hi Joey and Wendy. Personally, my feeling on the issue is that if one wants to become a practicing lawyer and not an academic, one will find more use enrolling in traditional LlM's than the EMLE. After all, cases are decided on the principle of stare decisis, not Pareto optimality.

Hi Everybody !
It's time to start another blog regarding the year 2007/08 admissions.

Hi Guys, I ve foudn this blog quite interesting....It is solving one issue! Satisfying the curiosity that comes with the Erasmus mundus scholarships!
These scholarships are quite prestigious i may say! Well personally, i applied for a scholarship in Computer Vision and Robotics and I got a mail from the consortium saying that I am on the Main List subject to approval by the European commision and indeed the consortium has published the results on their website.I am from Kenya-Africa and I am very curious to know whether the European commission usually changes the Main list or not...Guys do you think this will be automatic?Let's share ideas though I am in a different programm but funded by the same organisation.
For those of you who got the 2006/2007 scholarships how did it go?
Cheers!

Hi .. I am planning to take LLM in Law & Economic either in UK or Europe since the same program in US will cost me more money. I found two option to be considered which is EMLE and LLM in Law & Economic at Uttrecht. Both of the programs seems to have its own advantage and also offer scholarship, EMLE seems to be more international while Uttrech is more traditional, anybody can advise which one is the best ? do you know any other LLM program in Europe for specialisation in Law & Economic ? Rgds !

Hi. Is anybody in this group planning to do the program in 2008-2009? There seems to be a lack of recents posts here.. It appears from the website that one can "hop" from one university to the other during the program. But is one alowed to stay in a particular university the entire time (e.g. Hamburg)? Is there any real difference in the quality of instruction among the different universities offering the program?
Hoping I could get some answers to the above,
Yumi
Hey there-
I am trying to figure out if this is a program I would like to do myself for next year. I found some student experience statements on their website under the "student experience" heading.
I also spoke with a professor from Erasmus over the holidays and she seemed to think that you picked a different university each trimester, but after reading the website it seems like you can maybe stay in one of the cities for 2 of the 3 trimesters.

I am also planning on applying for the program in 2008-2009. To answer your question I think that you have to attend at least two universities as part of the program.

Hi everyone!
My name is Mark, and I applied to Rotterdam, Ghent and Hamburg from Puerto Rico. Although I was born and raised in Germany, I got my BBA in the US and my law degree here in Puerto Rico. I wish all the applicants good luck, and naturally I hope to be accepted, as it is the only LLM that really interests me. I received an email yesterday from Dr. Visscher, detailing the selection procedure. Notifications should be sent around the beginning of March.
I am wondering how competitive third-country applicant selection is, and what the average age of the student body is. If anyone has some information, a reply would be appreciated.
Happy 2008!

Hi all!
I'm from the Netherlands and recently received my Masters in Law there.. Now I'm planning to apply to the EMLE Program, because the LLM sounds really interesting. I took the TOEFL test this Saturday, so have to wait about three weeks before I'll know my scores... Right now I'm thinking about Bologna, Ghent and Rotterdam. Anyone who has been to Haifa or thinking about going to Haifa? Was it worth it, good university etcetera??

Hello! mortizw and Jantine!
I am also applied for the 2008-2009 period! Do you know how many people applied this year? I mean for the third countries students As far as I can see, this blog is not been very used by EMLE candidates! It is another place in where I can communicate with other applicants?
Good luck whit your applications!
